Kerala State Planning Board Announces Two-Month Postgraduate Internship

Kerala State Planning Board has announced to provide two months Postgraduate Internship to the students who are currently pursuing a degree or have completed the degree within the last year.

The last date to submit the application for the internship is June 25, 2020. The internship program will be of two months' duration and will commence from July 21, 2020.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, this year the selection for internships is restricted to Kerala.

The selected candidates will be attached to the members of the Chief of State Planning Board and will receive an opportunity to know the schemes. The interns will also work on projects and write a report which has to be submitted to the Chief of State to whom the interns will be assigned.

Selection Criteria: Postgraduate Internship

The selection procedure involves three phases: 

  • Academic record
  • Quality of the research proposal (based on the area in which internship is to be done)
  • Interview

The internship candidates will be provided a stipend, except the students drawing JRF, ICSSR, or any other fellowship or scholarship. The postgraduate students will be provided INR 24,000 and M.Phil or Ph.D. students will be provided INR 30,000 as a stipend.

The internship program offered will cover 13 different fields- Education, Agriculture, Health Nutrition, Women and Child Development, Social Justice and Development, Water Resources or Drinking Water, Environment and Climate Change, Local Self Government, Urban Development, Rural Development, Disaster Management, Industry and Infrastructure, Welfare and SC/ST.
