Madhya Pradesh to conduct final year examinations as per UGC Guidelines; results will be declared by September 30

Madhya Pradesh has notified that it was always ready to conduct the final year university exams. 

As per the UGC Guidelines, the state had every intention to conduct the final year examinations across universities and finish the evaluation process. A senior official stated that the examinations will be conducted as planned and the results will be declared prior to 30th September. 

As per the new guidelines issued by the Supreme Court, the universities are not to promote any student without conducting the final year examinations. The final year exams have been deemed necessary for qualifying for higher education and employment. The degree will not be awarded to students without conducting the final exams.

Anupam Rajan, the principal secretary of the Higher Education Department also stated that MP was never in disagreement with the UGC guidelines that mandated the completion of all final year examinations by September end. The exams had already been scheduled and were to be conducted on time either way. 

The state had always planned to do so. The preparations for examinations have already begun and the whole process is scheduled to be completed by September 30. 

The University Grants Commission will stand on its decision to complete the examination cycle for final year students by September end. Universities or states who are unable to conclude the exams by the mentioned deadline can approach UGC to file for newly extended dates.
