The directorate of technical education has directed all the ITIs to develop the app so that students can apply to the colleges from their home itself. The admission process is expected to begin after the SSC examination results will be declared.
A panel has been set under the chairmanship of Joint Director of DVET, Anil Jadhav. The panel is responsible to relook into the admissions considering the COVID-19 situation. The director has recommended conducting four rounds of admission for 2020-21, based on merit list at the state and district level.
A district-level committee will also be constituted to monitor the admissions, following which the merit list and counselling rounds will commence.
The private ITI institutes will also be commencing the admissions under management and minority quota. The state admission committee will monitor the process and the seats can be filled online.
