Maharashtra NEET UG 2026 CAP Counselling Registration Begins; Check Complete Schedule

The State Common Entrance Test Cell (State CET Cell), Maharashtra has opened the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) registration for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2026 counselling. Eligible candidates can register on the official portal at medical2026.mahacet.org. The registration window opens on August 6, 2026.

The counselling covers admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BUMS, BSMS, BPTh, BOTh, BASLP and B(P&O) seats in state-run and private colleges of Maharashtra. Round 1 registration will remain open until August 12, 2026 (11:59 PM). Joining at the allotted college must be completed between August 24 and August 28, 2026 (5:30 PM).

The registration fee is Rs 800 for General category candidates. Reserved category candidates will pay Rs 600. Payment must be made online through the CAP portal at the time of registration.

Who Is Eligible to Apply?

A candidate must have appeared in NEET UG 2026 and secured the qualifying percentile. The applicant must also hold a valid Maharashtra domicile certificate. Class 10 and Class 12 must be cleared from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Candidates without a Maharashtra domicile can apply only against the All India Quota vacant seats surrendered to the state. Age and other norms follow the National Medical Commission (NMC) rules for the 2026-27 session.

How to Register for Maharashtra NEET UG 2026 CAP Round 1?

The State CET Cell has kept the process fully online. Candidates must complete every step before the August 12, 2026 (11:59 PM) deadline. Missing any single step will disqualify the application.

• Visit the official portal at medical2026.mahacet.org.
• Click on the New Registration link for NEET UG 2026 CAP.
• Enter NEET UG 2026 roll number, application number and personal details.
• Fill the online application form with academic and category data.
• Upload scanned copies of the required documents in the given format.
• Pay the registration fee online through net banking, debit card, credit card or UPI.
• Submit the form and download the confirmation page for records.

Candidates must keep both original and self-attested copies ready before starting the form. Any mismatch during upload can delay the merit list preparation.

• NEET UG 2026 admit card and scorecard
• Class 10 mark sheet and passing certificate
• Class 12 mark sheet and passing certificate
• Maharashtra domicile certificate
• Nationality certificate or valid Indian passport
• Aadhaar card or other government ID proof
• Caste certificate and caste validity (for reserved categories)
• Non Creamy Layer certificate valid till March 31, 2027 (for OBC, SEBC, EWS)
• PwD certificate from a competent authority (if applicable)
• Recent passport-size photograph and signature

Seats on Offer Under Maharashtra CAP 2026

The State CET Cell fills nearly 10,845 MBBS seats and about 3,526 BDS seats across government, corporation, private and deemed-linked colleges. Seats for AYUSH streams and allied health science courses are counted separately. The final seat matrix will be published on the portal before choice filling begins.
