Meghalaya Board of Secondary Education (MBoSE) will conduct the remaining 4 subjects (Statistics, Mathematics, Physical Education and Western Music) of HSSLC examination across 62 centres.
About 3,857 Class 12 students from across the state and neighbouring countries will take the exams from June 8-10, 2020. Examinations for 4 subjects were postponed in the wake of nationwide lockdown for COVID-19 pandemic.
As per reports from MBOSE, 3,772 students will appear for Mathematics, 8 students for Statistics, 28 for Westerns Music and 49 for Physical Education for Meghalaya HSSLC examination 2020.
The board has ensured that all safety measures will be taken for smooth conduction of exams. Teachers and staff have been rigorously trained as per protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of the Department of Health and Family Welfare.
Additionally, Education Minister Lahkmen Rymbui will hold a meeting on June 15, taking calls on reopening schools and educational institutions.
The Meghalaya Government is yet to make a stronghold decision on reopening educational institutions. Also, the majority of parents feel the necessity for schools to remain closed.
Students of foreign nationals including Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and Myanmar will also be appearing for Meghalaya HSSLC examination 2020.
