MS University has informed, through a circular, that all the semester-end examinations of graduate degrees, diplomas, all semester exams of postgraduate degrees and diplomas and examinations of B.Ed, LLB and BLIS programmes will be conducted in online mode.
MS University is the first public university to have terminal examinations held online.
The examinations will be held in a phased manner from 5 August onwards. Guidelines will be released for the students by the university on 28 July.
The examinations will be held in two phases. Phase one will be held from 5 to 14 August, while phase two will be conducted from 18 to 27 August.
It has been decided to have the examinations given online to avoid the risk of contagion, which is a high probability if the examinations are held on campus.
The online examination pattern will consist of multiple-choice questions. The test will be two hours long. The test will be held on the portal of the university itself.
