NCERT-UNESCO Announces E-Raksha Competition 2020

National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) in collaboration with Cyber Peace Foundation and UNESCO launched e-Raksha Competition 2020.

The competition will chiefly focus on tackling online safety, fake news and digital citizenship. This competition is categorised in different segments including visual medium, tech innovation and art. 

e-Raksha competition 2020 is sponsored by Google, Instagram, Twitter, WhatsApp, Your Story and Autobot Infosec. 

Interested candidates have to register and then apply online through the official website: eraksha.net by September 30, 2020. Results of the competition will be announced on November 1, 2020, while the award ceremony will be held on December 1, 2020.

Tech Avishkar

In this segment, participants are free to use all forms of technologies namely Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning to develop firmware, software and hardware.

Artcade

Students have to send drawings, stickers, paintings, memes, comics, or comic strips on themes such as Digital Citizenship and Online Safety.

Students can choose from topics like safety, privacy, security, online frauds, phishing, vishing, trolling, safety, malware etc. However, in any case, students need to avoid writing slogans. 

Screen Masters

Candidates have to develop short films or videos on the theme of Digital Citizenship and Online Safety. Participants can include drama, documentary, interview or songs to make the videos or short film more impactful.

Word Hacks

In this competition, participants have to send articles, blogs, research papers, essays or short stories. In that case, abiding by the guidelines is required.
