NEET PG 2026 Answer Key to Release on or After October 1; Check Steps to Raise Objections

National Board of Medical Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has issued a notice. It concerns the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2026 examination. The provisional answer key will release on or after October 1, 2026. Candidates can access it at the official portal, natboard.edu.in.

NEET PG is the single-window entrance for MD, MS, and PG Diploma seats. Lakhs of MBBS graduates appear for this test every year.

The notice was issued by NBEMS on September 24, 2026. Alongside the answer key, NBEMS will upload candidate response sheets. Question papers with recorded answers will also be made available.

The provisional key allows candidates to challenge doubtful answers. NBEMS will accept objections through the same official portal only. The final answer key and result will follow after the review.

NEET PG 2026 Answer Key Details

How to Download the NEET PG 2026 Answer Key?

The answer key will go live on the NBEMS portal. Candidates must follow the steps listed below to download it.

1. Visit the official NBEMS website at natboard.edu.in.
2. Click on the NEET PG 2026 answer key link.
3. Log in using registration number and date of birth.
4. The answer key PDF will open on the screen.
5. Download the PDF and save a copy for reference.
6. Also download the response sheet and question paper.

How to Raise an Objection Against the Answer Key?

Candidates who are dissatisfied with any answer can submit representations. The objection window will open on the same official portal. A non-refundable processing charge applies for each challenged question.

Payment can be made through online modes only. These include net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI. NBEMS will review each valid objection before releasing the final key.

1. Log in to the NEET PG 2026 candidate portal.
2. Open the objection tab under the answer key section.
3. Select the question number that appears incorrect.
4. Upload supporting documents or reference material clearly.
5. Pay the prescribed fee per question and submit.
6. Save the acknowledgement receipt for future reference.

What Happens After the Objection Window Closes?

NBEMS will review each challenge with a panel of subject experts. Only valid objections backed by clear evidence will be accepted. The provisional key will then be revised as needed.

The final answer key will be published on the portal. Scores and results will be prepared using this final version. Candidates cannot raise fresh objections after this stage.

2. Keep your registration number and date of birth handy.
3. Check the portal daily from October 1, 2026 onwards.
4. Download the answer key, response sheet, and question paper together.
5. Cross-verify each response against the released provisional key.
6. Mark questions you believe have incorrect answers listed.
7. Arrange the objection fee through a valid online payment mode.
8. Submit challenges only within the stated objection window.
9. Save all payment and submission receipts for records.
