The final allotment results for the NEET UG 2024 Stray Vacancy Round have been published, offering candidates the last opportunity to secure admission to undergraduate medical courses. Candidates must download their results from the official counselling website and adhere to the guidelines issued for this round.

Important Guidelines for Candidates
- Category or Quota Change: Candidates whose category or quota has changed within the same institution and subject must:
- Obtain an online-generated relieving letter.
- Report to the allotted institution to be admitted under the revised category or quota.
- Secure a new online-generated admission letter for the revised seat; failure to do so will result in the seat being canceled.
- No Resignation Option: As this is the final round, there is no option for resignation, and candidates are expected to finalize their admissions without further adjustments.
Important Notice for State Counselling Authorities
As per the directive issued by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in Contempt Petition© No. 289 of 2022 in W.P No. 223 of 2022 (Shubhankar Patnaik vs. K. Ramesh Reddy & Ors.), it is mandatory for all state counselling authorities to remove candidates allotted seats through the All India Quota (AIQ) from the seat allocation list of the stray vacancy round of state UG counselling. This directive aims to prevent candidates who have been allotted seats in AIQ from being reassigned seats through state counselling, thus avoiding duplicate allocations and ensuring fair distribution of seats.
State counselling authorities must take the following steps:
- Filter AIQ Candidates: Ensure that all candidates who have secured seats in AIQ through the Stray Vacancy Round are filtered out from the state counselling stray vacancy process.
- Download AIQ Allotment List: Access the MCC data-sharing portal to download the list of candidates allotted seats in the AIQ Stray Vacancy Round.
- Update State Counselling Lists: Remove AIQ-allotted candidates from the list of eligible candidates in the state counselling seat allocation process to avoid re-allocation.
These steps are essential for maintaining compliance with the Supreme Court directive and ensuring that candidates do not receive duplicate or overlapping seat allotments between the AIQ and state counselling rounds.
Next Steps for Candidates and Authorities
Candidates should immediately download their final allotment results, and state counselling authorities must update their records according to AIQ guidelines to complete the Stray Vacancy Round effectively and in full compliance with regulatory directives.
