An official notification regarding the NIOS On-Demand exam date has been released by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). Students can apply for the same from September 25, 2020 via the student dashboard on sdmis.nios.ac.in.
According to the notification, for this NIOS On-Demand Examination 2020, NIOS 10th and NIOS 12th learners who wish to improve their average marks awarded in March-April 2020 can also appear.

Students interested should note that this examination is optional for them and will only be organised for the theory portion.

The official reports also indicate that students can choose the 2020 NIOS On Demand exam dates according to their convenience between the dates given.
The exams will begin on October 5, 2020.
For those students who are not satisfied with average marks and are interested in improving their marks, the NIOS On-Demand Examination 2020 can book a seat.
They can apply for the same from September 25, 2020 through the student dashboard on sdmis.nios.ac.in.

"The NIOS notice also states," It is further to bring to your notice that those students who have been registered for appearance in the public improvement examination or Stream-2 cases declared as Non-Computable Cases in the March / April 2020 Public Examination are exempted from paying the booking seat examination fee in the said On-Demand Examination. All others, however, will have to pay the required fee online via their dashboard. No inquiries will be entertained in this regard.'

1. Where should the 2020 NIOS On Demand Exam (ODEs) be held?
NIOS ODEs 2020 will be conducted at the regional centre's examination centre, which is selected by a student while reserving an examination seat.
2. What if the On-Demand Exam scored fewer marks?
If any student who appears to improve his / her marks for the NIOS On-Demand exam scores fewer or more marks in the exam compared to the average computed marks, then the marks obtained by students in the On-Demand Exam will be treated as final marks, and those marks will be their average marks.
3. Can I apply for practical mark improvement for ODEs?
No, NIOS ODEs will only be performed for improvement of theoretical part marks.
