Odisha Plus Two E-Admission 2020 Begins with 37,000+ Applications on Day-1

The Directorate of Higher Education, Odisha has begun the online admission process for students of Class 12 (or, Plus Two) from 21 August 2020.

The directorate invited application for online admission from Friday 11 am onwards for the academic year 2020-2021. As per reports, about 37,000 students applied for admission till 7:00 pm on the first day.

Added to this, more than 21,000 students have also paid the admission fee online. The last date for admission process is October 7, 2020.

SAMS Odisha Plus-Two Admission 2020: Eligibility Criteria

For admission to Plus II courses in Odisha, students should have passed High School Certificate (HSC) examinations of Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha. Alternatively, students should have completed examinations from the equivalent board.

All the required documents will be verified at the time of admission.

SAMS Odisha Plus-Two Admission 2020: How to Apply Online?

Students have to apply online on the official website: www.samsodishagov.in. Application fee for general students is INR 200 and for SC/ST category is INR 100.

The application fee can be paid through online mode only. Students have to retain a printed copy of the submitted application form and payment receipt for future reference.

This year, the Odisha government has slashed the application fee by INR 100 for each category.

Odisha Plus II Admission 2020: Selection Procedure

The first merit list will be released on September 9, 2020, at 11 am. Admission based on first merit list will take place from 11-18 September.

Unlike other years, this year students will not be required to visit any of the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) centre or colleges for corrections in application forms.

Error correction will be done online by the respective Higher Secondary Schools (HSSs) during admission between 11-19 September.

Second merit list will be released on September 23, admission through which continue from Septem 24-28 (till 6 pm).

In case students are unable to submit all the required documents within the stipulated time, then they have to submit an undertaking for submitting documents within a maximum of 1 months’ time.

Merit list for spot selection will be out by October 1, 11 am. Spot admission will continue from October 1-3 (2 pm). Once the final list of spot admission is released on October 3, admission will begin on that day and end on October 5, at 5 pm.

All admission related data will be available on HSS e-space on October 7, 2020.
