Rajasthan Board To Reduce The Syllabus For Academic Year 2020-21; Check Details Here
Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education has decided to reduce the syllabus for the academic year 2020-21. The board took this decision due to the pandemic situation in the state.
Rajasthan State Education Minister Govind Singh Dostasra posted a tweet stating that the Rajasthan State Council of Education Research and Teaching will be reducing the syllabus for 2020-21 academic year.
He also elaborated in the tweet that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the working days have been reduced in the state schools. Keeping in mind the students' interests, the Secondary Education Directorate has directed the Secondary Education Board and the RSCERT with regard to the reduction in the syllabus.
Earlier the HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank had announced the reduction of syllabus for CBSE Board classes 9 to 12. CBSE syllabus has been reduced by 30% for the academic year 2020-21.
Following this, the Gujarat State Board and the Goa State Board also announced the reduction in syllabus for the coming academic year. This decision to reduce syllabus has also been quoted as only one time measure by the board keeping in mind the present situation of the country.
