SC to Pronounce Final Order on Final Year Exams 2020 on Wednesday, Check Details Here

As per the latest updates, the supreme court will not be delivering the judgment tomorrow for the petition filed by students against the conduct of examinations for final year students.

Alakh Alok Srivastava, a senior advocate has confirmed this through a tweet which said that final order is likely to be announced on Wednesday as the bench will not be sitting tomorrow.

Moreover, the senior advocate also said that a request will be made to the Supreme Court to provide a quick decision on the matter.

The supreme court on August 18, 2020, conducted a hearing of the petition filed by a group of students from different states demanding the cancellation of the final semester exams.

A petition was filed by a group of 31 students from states including Bihar, Assam, Uttar Pradesh for cancelling the exam for the students.

Earlier, UGC revised its guidelines for the conduct of final year examinations for higher education. As per the revised guidelines, all educational institutions must conduct its final year examinations by the end of September 2020.

Many states like Delhi and Maharashtra have also opposed the move of UGC and has urged the central government to cancel regular examinations and chose an alternative measure for exams.
