Schools will not Reopen on July 1 in Karnataka: Suresh Kumar

The Karnataka State Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar have stated that the schools within the state won't open on July 01, 2020. The state Department of Education has extended the date for reopening the schools within the state in order to seek the opinion of the parents from June 12-20 , 2020. the parents within the state can give their opinion to the schools which can be updated within the Student Achievement Tracking System. 

The state education minister while chatting with the media addressed that the Union HRD Ministry has hinted that the schools can reopen after Assumption , 2020, further adding that Karnataka is in no hurry to reopen. 

The ministry is going to conduct a gathering with the officials after June 20, 2020 to make a decision regarding reopening the schools .

Many of the schools on the other hand have begun with online classes for the students. Online classes are being conducted by the respective state boards so as to make sure that the students don't lose their classes due to the continued lockdown. The classes are being conducted through various virtual means like Youtube and television channels where the students can sit and learn. Online downloadable study materials also are available for the students . 

The Schools across the country are shut due to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown across the country since March 2020. Along with the schools in the country, various state and central boards postponed the Class 10 and 12 board examinations keeping in mind the continued pandemic.

However, with the lockdown entering its fifth phase, many of the state boards have rescheduled the Class 10 and 12 board examinations. On the other hand, a number of the state boards have declared the Class 10 and 12 board examination results based on the exams conducted before the lockdown was imposed in the country.
