The State Medical Faculty of West Bengal (SMFWB) has released the result for its Paramedical Courses on its official website smfwb.examflix.in. SMFWB has also announced that the first round of the counselling will be starting from today.

The state body will also be conducting the counselling program for the selected candidates. Accordingly the seat matrix will be released and admission will be offered in the medical college across the state.Below is the official link for the merit list:

The counselling schedule is released over the website. Qualified candidates will have to attend the counselling for further admission process.

SMFWB Paramedical Admissions 2020: Counselling

The counselling will be done in an online mode and admissions to various institutes will be done based on the score and choices made by the applicant. Applicants who get a seat allotted to them will need to pay INR 15000. The counselling process will include 4 rounds and the following steps.

1: Online Choice & Locking: All rounds will have the option for choice filling. Applicants will need to fill and lock in their choices only in the window that will be made available as per schedule. Applicants can fill in as many choices as they want, reorder, delete or add new choices as per their wish in the window.

2: Indicative Seats: Based on the number of candidates who have registered and submitted their options, the system will calculate and provide an idea of the seats offered in the rounds. This indicative seat probability will be displayed in the prospectus along with the schedule.

3: Seat Allotments: Seats will then be allotted as per the preference and availability. To check their seat allotment, the applicant will need to check the website and if successfully download the allotment letter. The state board will release 2 rounds of seat allotment mainely explained below:

First Round: Seats will be allotted in the order of merit and preference/ choices as per seats available for each phase. The Seat allotment result will be available on the website under each Candidates Login ID. Candidates may get a print out of the allotment details from the above websites.
Second Round: The seat will be allotted against vacant seats available after the first round of allotment and reporting. Allotted candidates will not be allowed to alter or resubmit their choices.

4: Reporting: The final step includes reporting at the allotted institute. The applicant will need to provide the certificates and the provisional allotment letter along with the admission fee to finish all formalities.

SMFWB Paramedical Admissions 2020: Selection Procedure

The selected candidates will be offered admission in the colleges available in the state as per their merit list.

The state board can reject the application or cancel the admission of the candidate if any documents submitted are found furnished. The admission fees will not be reimbursed by the conducting body.

What After the Counselling Process?

The entrance test is held in 8 centres located in West Bengal. The result for SMFWB Paramedical 2020 is published in the form of a merit list.

After the counselling process, the candidates will be given admission according to the rank and the availability of seats in the respective college. The affiliated institute will then notify the selected students for admission updates and commencement of a new session.
