SR University will be launching Technology-based B.Tech programs in Computer Science & Engineering with specialization options in the field of Data Science, Cyber Security, Big Data & Data Analytics, Cloud Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

For the newly launched programs, SR University has collaborated with the leading global vendor of computer software and hardware, mobile and gaming systems and cloud services, which is Microsoft.

Emphasizing on the need for technology programs, SR University VC GRC Reddy said, "Skills like cloud computing, artificial intelligence and Machine Learning are in demand among organizations. There is a talent gap in these areas and it is set to widen in the coming future. To bridge this gap, our University has tied up with Microsoft."
According to the Nasscom report, data and Artificial Intelligence can help India in achieving a position of the global hub of innovation by creating jobs and enabling investments.
Earlier, CBSE also announced to include Artificial Intelligence as a part of Social Education through Work and Action(SEWA) programme for the students of class XI and XII. The program is to be introduced in 200 schools of 13 states of the country.
