For students who could not make up for CBSE board exams this year, the authority has released a new compartment exam schedule, to be held in the month of September, for students who failed to clear the board exams.

Students are disappointed with the decision as they have recently faced chaos while applying for the board exam marks verification and photocopy of the answer sheets. On 14th July 2020, CBSE released a notice stating that the Standard XII students can apply for verification of marks between 17 to 21 July and apply for the photocopy of answer sheets between 1st and 2nd August.

The online window of the authority riled many people. Students came up with issues mentioning that it was Eid on the 1st of August and the very next day was Sunday due to which they could not reach up to cyber cafes as they are closed on Sunday. Other issues mentioned internet problem; no verification details received even on 1st August; portal not accepting the application on 2nd August. However, the CBSE board notice stated that the portal will close by 5 pm on August 2. The time was not mentioned in the user’s tweet.

People are now disappointed with the next step of the board as the previous step was still incomplete for many. Many tweets are protesting against the authority with hashtags such as #CBSEkillingstudens and #CBSEcancelExamsSaveStudents stating a big disappointment against CBSE board as many parents are demanding cancellation of compartment exams scheduled in September 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic. Apart from this, students are also unhappy with the early closing of the CBSE portal.

CBSE on cancellation of compartment exam demand released a notice mentioning that it would affect a large number of students adversely.
