Students Bodies Suggests Maharashtra CM Alternative Ways to Conduct Final Year Exams

Students bodies in the state of Maharashtra have urged Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to conduct final examinations in online mode.

Following the Supreme Court’s decision in favour of the UGC for conducting the exams of the final year University/College students, student bodies have suggested alternative ways to the Maharastra government for the conduct of exam.

Suggestions for the Conduct of Examinations

Student bodies have suggested the state government that exam duration must be reduced to 2hrs from 3hrs and exams can be conducted in open book or MCQ style. They have also suggested that the question papers could be sent to the students by means of email/ WhatsApp. 

Regarding the syllabus for the conduct of examination, students have appealed the state government that syllabus or the final year exams should be based on the syllabus taught until March as classes were discontinued after then owing to the lockdown.

The suggestions also highlighted that students should be provided study notes, and the results of the final year exams should be announced until 30th September 2020.
