The results are available on the official website @ tnresults.nic.in. Candidates can check their results by entering their roll number and Date of birth. The result will contain details like Students Name, Roll Number, Father’s and Mother’s name, Marks scored by the candidate in various subjects, and Passing Status. A total of 7,79,931 candidates appeared in the examination, out of which 7,20,209 have passed the examination.Tamil Nadu Class 12th Results had been announced on July 16, 2020.  This year, the pass percentage of SSLC exam is witnessed 100%, while the pass percentage of HSC is recorded to be 92.34%.

• The state board will not release the merit list or toppers list of TN Result 2020 this year.
• As per the official information, the school will distribute mark sheets of the students from August 17, 2020. The Candidates need to contact their respectice schools to get their mark sheets before August 21, 2020.
• Tamil Nadu Class 12th and Class 10th exams are conducted by Directorate of Government Examinations Tamil Nadu.
• Class 12th Exams (HSC) were conducted from March 02, 2020, to March 26, 2020, while Class 10th Exam (SSLC) was conducted from March 27 to April 13, 2020. Around 17 lakh students appeared for TN Class 10th and Class 12th Board Exams 2020

TN Board Class 10^th & 12^th  Result 2020: Important dates

Directorate of Government Exam (DGE) conducts TN Class 10^th  Board exam in the name of Secondary School Leaving Certificate Exam (SSLC). The Exam was scheduled to conducted be conducted from March 27 to April 13, and all the pending papers were postponed due to lockdown. The Result are available from August 10, 2020. Candidates can access their result by visiting the website @ tnresults.nic.in

Tamil Nadu Class 12th Result was released on July 10, 2020, at 9:30 am on the official portal as per the media report. The exam was conducted from March 02 to March 26, 2020. While one subject exam was conducted on June 18, 2020, which was postponed due to lockdown. 

How to Check TN Board Class 10^th and 12^th Results 2020?

Tamil Nadu Board Class 10^th and 12^th  Result 2020 are available after the evaluation of answer sheets. Candidates will have to visit the official website and fill the required details like registration number and date of birth in a prescribed format. Given below are the steps students can follow to access their result.

Steps to Check TN Result 2020 Online

• Visit the official portal: tnresults.nic.in or dge.tn.gov.in.

• Find for Result Section and then click on it.

• Click on the link for HS TN +2 result 2020. 

• Enter your registration number (Roll number) in the first entry box and date of birth in the second one.

• After verifying the details Click on ‘Get Marks’ button 

• TN Class 12th Result will be displayed on the screen.

• Download the Result or take a printout and keep it safe for future reference.

How to get Scanned Copy of Answer Sheet?

Candidates who applied for the scanned copy of answer sheet can now download it from the official website. The board have activated the download link from August 18, 2020. The application process begin around the 4^th week of July, 2020. Candidates can donwload their copy of answer sheet by following the steps mentioned below:

• Visit the official website of Tamil Nadu Board
• Login by entering registration number and date of birth
• Enter the required details and deposit the fee
• In the next window select the subject
• Download the answer sheet

TN Class 10th and Class 12th Revaluation and Rechecking 2020. 

Candidates who are not satisfied with their TN Class 10th and Class 12th Result 2020 will have an option to apply for Marks Revaluation and or answer sheet rechecking. The notification to apply for revaluation and rechecking will be released along with the result. 

• Candidates can apply online for revaluation and rechecking soon after the results are released.

• Candidates will have to pay a Revaluation application fee per subject. 

• The application form for Revaluation and Rechecking will be available in the 3rd week of July 2020. 

• Marks can increase or decrease in the revaluation/rechecking process.

• Marks obtained in the Revaluation/rechecking process will be considered final.

TN Board 10th and Class 12th Compartment Exam 2020

Tamil Nadu board provide a facility of Compartment Exam for the candidates who failed in one or two subjects. It helps the candidates to continue their academic studies with wasting a year. 

But candidates failing in more than two subjects will have to repeat a year and reappear the exam in the next academic session. 

• The compartment exam will be conducted in the month of August 2020 tentatively.

• Candidates who couldn’t score passing marks, in not more than two subjects can apply for TN Board Class 10th and Class 12th Compartment exam. 

• Such students will have to contact their respective schools to appear for Compartment examination

• The result for Compartment exam will be released with 3 weeks of exams

TN Board Supplementary Exam for Private Candidates

Tamil Nadu board has released the final schedule of supplementary exam for private candidates. The exam will be conducted from September 21, 2020 to September 28, 2020. Around 10000 students are expected to appear for the exam. This will be the first major exam after the lockdown period. Earlier, te board cancelled class 10^th exam and declared all the student pass on the basis of internal assessment and half yearly exam. The candidates who are appearing for supplementary exam are not declared pass in the regular exam because they did not appear in the half yearly exams. Nearly 59000 candidates including private and regular will take the supplementary exam. Further, the supplementary exam for class 11 will be conducted from September 29, 2020 to October 7, 2020. Nearly 4 lakh candidates are likely to appear for the same.

The overall percentage of Tamil Nadu Class 12^th Result is 92.3%.  Girls outshined boys with a pass percentage of 94.8%. While 89.41% of boys cleared the TN class 12^th examination. Among districts  Tirupur topped with 97.12%, followed by rode with 96.99% and Coimbatore with 96.39%. A total of 62 prisoners appeared for Tamil Nadu class 12^th exams 2020 out of which 50 passed the exam.
