Telangana intermediate second year advanced supplementary examinations cancelled. 1.47 lakh second-year students, who failed in the exams, are declared as pass. Marks memo to be issued by July 31, 2020.

The government of the state of Telangana announced on Thursday the cancellation of second-year intermediate public advanced supplementary examinations (IPASE).

The move would benefit 1,47 lakh students who failed in March 2020's Intermediate Public Review (IPE).

State education minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy said the students would be considered as a pass in the examination of the compartment and the same would be reflected in the memos of the marks.

After July 31, 2020 she added, the students may collect the mark sheets from their respective colleges. "Keeping in mind the prevailing situation due to Covid-19, state chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has decided to end the second-year intermediate student supplementary exams," said Reddy adding this move will help students join degree colleges.

As far as those who have applied for recounting / re-verification are concerned, she said they will be getting to know their updated marks in the next 10 days.

More than 4 lakh students have appeared for second-year intermediate exams this year. 68.86 per cent of them passed through the exam.
