Tripura Schools to Conduct Open-air Classes For IX-XII Students; Check Details Here

Tripura Schools are now gearing up to conduct open-air classes for students from class IX to class XII while following the social distancing norms and Covid-19 protocols in the state.

The schools will work with only 50% of the academicians and will have to follow the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) issued by the education department in the state government.

Earlier, Only a few of the students from the classes IX-XII attended the open-air classes on the first day. Therefore, Schools hailed the move of the government.

Sharbari Seb Roy, the headmistress of a school in West Tripura, stated that Open-air classes are being commenced for the students of class IX to class XII. Although Digital classes were being held for the students from last April, students who don't have the facility of a smartphone are deprived of these classes.

However, these students can now attend the open-air classes with the prior consent of their parents respectively. She also said that the school authorities will make sure that each student wears a mask and follows the social distancing norms.

In case any student is found without a mask, the school will provide a free mask. Meanwhile, only 50% of the teachers are advised to attend the school, based on a rotation-wise schedule, she said. Students who attended the first day appreciated the move of the state government.

In an interaction with ANI, one of the students from the school said that they faced a lot of server problems while connecting with the teachers in the online classes. Another student said that even after joining the classes, they struggled with connection errors and couldn't rectify their doubts regarding the subjects.

Some students also expressed that now after four months of the school being shut, it will be high time to reunite with friends and enjoy the physical classes.
