TS DOST Special Spot Round Counselling 2026 begins today for undergraduate admissions in Telangana degree colleges. Candidates can apply on September 28 and 29 at dost.cgg.gov.in with a processing fee of Rs 425.
The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) has launched the Special Spot Round Counselling 2026, the final phase of Degree Online Services (DOST) admissions. Candidates can register through the official portal at dost.cgg.gov.in on September 28 and September 29, 2026.
The one-time Special Spot Round is being conducted to fill the remaining vacant undergraduate seats across Government, University, Private Aided, Unaided and Autonomous colleges in Telangana. Local candidates will receive priority during admission. After seats are offered to all eligible local candidates, the remaining vacancies will be opened to non-local candidates.
The processing fee is Rs 425 and is non-refundable.

Who Can Apply for the Special Spot Round?
The round is open to candidates seeking undergraduate admission in Telangana. Aspirants who missed the earlier DOST admission phases can participate in this special round.
Candidates must fulfil the eligibility requirements of their selected programme. Admission will depend on the college-wise vacant seats available during the spot round. Applicants should check the vacancy position before approaching a college.
Local candidates will be given first priority. If seats remain vacant after accommodating eligible local candidates, they will be made available to non-local candidates.

Applicants should carry all original documents along with two sets of photocopies for verification.

How to Apply for TS DOST Special Spot Round 2026?
Candidates should first visit the DOST official portal and check the available vacancies. They must then approach their preferred college directly with the required documents.
The college will verify the candidate's documents and eligibility before confirming admission against an available seat. Candidates must also pay the applicable Rs 425 processing fee and retain the payment receipt for future reference.
Candidates securing admission through the Special Spot Round will not be eligible for scholarships or state fee reimbursement benefits for the 2026-27 academic session. Aspirants should therefore consider the complete course fee before confirming admission.
This is the last chance to join a degree college in Telangana this year. Classes for the 2026-27 session already began on July 6, 2026.
