New Delhi: The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education has decided to extend the deadline for admissions into the 1st year of the Intermediate program for the academic year 2023-24. As per the new schedule, candidates can submit their applications for TS Inter 1st Year Admission 2023 until October 09, 2023. 

A circular issued by the Telangana State board has communicated this extension to all junior college principals. It has been made clear in the circular that a late fee of INR 1,000 will be applicable for admissions to courses offered by private junior colleges. However, there will be no late fee charges for enrolling in this program at government-run or government-sector colleges.

The board has instructed all principals to promptly facilitate the admission of candidates into the first year of Intermediate education before the final date. This directive aims to guarantee that eligible students do not miss out on the chance to continue their higher education.

For students who have completed their 10th class and aspire to join intermediate courses at Junior Colleges in Telangana, applications can be submitted via the TSBIE Admission portal. 

How to Apply for TS Inter 1st Year Admissions? 

Candidates can follow the steps outlined below to apply for TS Inter 1st Year Admission for the academic year 2023-24.

Step 1: Visit the official website of Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education at tsbie.cgg.gov.in 

Step 2: On the homepage, locate and click on the link for "Intermediate 1st Year Admissions 2023-24."

Step 3: Candidates will then be directed to a new page where they can select the Mandal and district where they wish to enroll.

Step 4: The screen will display a list of colleges in your chosen area.

Step 5: From the list, candidates can pick their preferred college.

Step 6: Complete the application form and upload all the necessary documents.

Step 7: To keep for future reference, download and print the confirmation page.

Earlier this year, the TS 1st Year Inter examinations took place from March 15 to April 03, 2023. These exams witnessed the participation of a total of 4,33,082 students, out of which 2,72,208 were first-year regular students, and 25,553 were vocational students who achieved a commendable pass percentage of 61.68%.
