Uttar Pradesh government has directed all the colleges and universities to conduct the semester and annual exams after June 30, 2020.

Rajendra Kumar Tiwari, Chief Secretary, Government of UP revealed the information on social media and added that all the educational institutions in the state have been asked to take necessary measures to conduct 2019-20 and B.Ed. 2020 exams.

Tiwari also directed all the institutions to follow the precautionary measures and make sure that alcohol-based hand sanitizers are available at the examination centers.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak and amid lockdown situation, the educational institutions in Uttar Pradesh have been closed.

Earlier, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had asked all the state officials to start online classes and to work on a permanent model to continue the online teaching-learning process. To avoid any academic loss, virtual classes were also started on Doordarshan (DD) for classes 10 and 12.
