UP NEET UG 2026 Round 1 Merit List Released at upneet.gov.in; Check Steps to View Rank

The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DGME), Uttar Pradesh, has released the Uttar Pradesh NEET Undergraduate (UP NEET UG) 2026 Round 1 State Merit List. Candidates can view the list on the official portal at upneet.gov.in on September 2, 2026.

As per the official notification by DGME UP, the merit list has been published any time after 3:00 PM. It carries names of candidates eligible for Round 1 counselling. Choice filling and locking dates will be notified by the authority soon.

Only candidates named in the state merit list can move to the next stage. They must have qualified NEET UG 2026 and completed state registration on time. Payment of the registration fee and security deposit was also mandatory.

The registration window for Round 1 closed on September 2, 2026 at 2:00 PM. Fee submission was allowed till 3:00 PM the same day. The important fee heads for the round are listed below.

How to Check the UP NEET UG 2026 Round 1 Merit List?

The merit list is available in the login area of the official DGME UP portal. Candidates must keep their NEET credentials ready before checking their rank.

1. Visit the official portal at upneet.gov.in.
2. Click on the Registration link on the homepage.
3. Enter your NEET UG 2026 Roll Number and Application Number.
4. Input the captcha code shown on the screen.
5. Click Submit to view your rank and status.
6. Download the merit list entry for future reference.

What Happens After the Merit List Release?

The next stage of Round 1 is choice filling and locking on the DGME UP portal. Candidates must select their preferred medical and dental colleges in order of priority. The authority will lock choices at the end of the window.

Seat allotment will follow after choices are locked. Candidates allotted a seat must report to the assigned college for admission. The choice filling schedule and seat allotment date will be notified separately.

Who Is Eligible for UP NEET UG 2026 Round 1 Counselling?

Only candidates named in the Round 1 state merit list can take part. They must satisfy the domicile and academic norms set by DGME Uttar Pradesh.

• Must have qualified NEET UG 2026 conducted by the National Testing Agency.
• Must hold valid Uttar Pradesh domicile as per state rules.
• Must have completed online registration and document upload on time.
• Must have deposited the registration fee and security money by the deadline.
