UP NEET UG Round 2 Merit List 2026 Released; Check Choice Filling Last Date

The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DGME), Uttar Pradesh, has released the UP NEET UG 2026 Round 2 revised counselling schedule on the official portal at upneet.gov.in. The second merit list has been published today, September 21, 2026. The counselling covers admission to 85 percent state quota MBBS and BDS seats in Uttar Pradesh.

The revised schedule follows the earlier postponement of the Round 2 process. The authority had put the counselling on hold last week. Seat allotment for the round will now proceed on the basis of this Second Merit List.

Only candidates whose names appear in the merit list can move ahead. They must complete online choice filling within the fixed window. The next steps include seat allotment and reporting to the allotted college.

Who Can Participate in the Round 2 Counselling?

Only candidates named in the UP NEET UG Second Merit List can join Round 2. They must have qualified NEET UG 2026 with the required cut-off. Applicants also need Uttar Pradesh domicile or eligible state quota status.

Fresh candidates who registered during the recent window are also covered. The online registration ran from September 14 to September 17, 2026. Those who missed the first counselling can now enter the process.

How to Check the UP NEET UG Round 2 Merit List?

The Second Merit List is available as a PDF on the official portal. Candidates can follow the steps below to download it.

1. Visit the official website at upneet.gov.in.
2. Click the link titled UP NEET UG Second Round Merit List.
3. The merit list PDF will open on the screen.
4. Search the file using NEET UG roll number or rank.
5. Download the PDF and keep a printout for records.

How to Fill Choices for Round 2 Counselling?

Choice filling is open only for shortlisted candidates. The window closes on September 24, 2026. Candidates must list preferred colleges and courses in order of priority.

1. Log in at the counselling portal using registered credentials.
2. Open the choice filling section on the candidate dashboard.
3. Add preferred colleges along with MBBS or BDS courses.
4. Arrange the choices in the order of preference.
5. Lock the choices well before the deadline expires.

Choices left unlocked at the deadline will be auto-locked by the system. Locked choices cannot be edited later during Round 2.

Documents Required for Choice Filling and Reporting

• NEET UG 2026 admit card and scorecard.
• Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and pass certificates.
• Uttar Pradesh domicile certificate, where applicable.
• Category or reservation certificate, if applicable.
• Recent passport size photographs and a valid photo ID.
• Payment receipt of the counselling security fee.

What Happens After the Seat Allotment Result?

The Round 2 seat allotment result will be released on September 25, 2026. Allotted candidates must download the allotment letter from the portal. They must then report to the allotted college with all required documents.

The reporting window runs from September 26 to October 1, 2026. Candidates who fail to report will lose the allotted seat. Colleges will verify original documents at the time of admission.
