The ITI admissions application process in the state of Uttar Pradesh is currently underway. The last date to apply for admissions to UP ITI for the 2020 session is 23 August 2020. Check the dates of admission, the process, the list of trades and the consultation details.

ITI admissions to the state of Uttar Pradesh are supervised by the Uttar Pradesh State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT) every year.
SCVT UP does not conduct an entrance examination for admission to ITI courses. Admission to the various ITI programs offered by the various Government and Private ITIs in the State of Uttar Pradesh shall be made on the basis of a merit list which shall be drawn up taking into account the marks secured by the applicants in their respective qualifying examinations.

Uttar Pradesh ITI Admissions 2020 - Detailed Eligibility Criteria
The detailed eligibility criteria which the applicants must meet when applying for ITI admission to Uttar Pradesh have been set out below-
- Applicants must be qualified (or equivalent) by class VIII of the recognized Board of Directors.
- Applicants should not be less than 14 years of age on 01 August 2020 i.e. applicants should not be born after 31 July 2020 in order to meet the minimum age eligibility criterion.
- Applicants who appear in their respective qualifying examinations in 2020 are also eligible to apply for UP ITI admissions for the 2020 session.
- Applicants must be mentally and physically sound (fit) in order to be eligible to apply for UP ITI admissions.
Note-Note:
- There is no upper age limit to apply for UP ITI 2020 admissions
- There is no relaxation in the eligibility criteria for candidates in the reserved categories

How to Apply for ITI Admissions in Uttar Pradesh - UP ITI 2020 Application Form
The step by step process to fill the application form for ITI admissions at Uttar Pradesh is given below -
- Click on the link admissionscvtup.in to go to the official website of UP State Council for Vocational Training containing the application form
- Fill all the boxes with the required information like own name, father’s name, mother’s name, date of birth, category and mobile number and click on the “Send OTP” button to receive a verification link on your mobile phone. Type the OTP in the blank box and click on “Verify & Proceed” button to proceed to the next step
- Three options will appear on the screen namely State, Private and State and Private. You have to select one from the available options and click on the “Submit” button to move to the next step
- Now, you will see the UP ITI admission application form asking for all the important basic personal details like name, parents’/guardian’s name, correspondence address, category etc. You have to fill all the boxes very carefully and click on the “Save & go to the Next Step” tab
- Now you have to provide your educational qualification details and upload your recent scanned photograph and signature. The scanned images should be in .jpg/.jpeg format only and should not be more than 50KB in size. Again you have to click on the “Save & go to the Next Step” tab
- Now you have to choose between Group A and B followed by choosing of ITIs and courses. Click on the “Next” button
- Now, the preview of your filled application form will appear in front of you. You will have to check for all the details you have provided and then click on the agreement checkbox and click on the “Proceed to Payment” tab
- You have to submit the application form fee to complete the online application process for ITI admission in Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh ITI Admissions 2020 - Selection Process
Selection of the ITI courses offered by the various government and private ITI institutions of Uttar Pradesh will take place through a consultation process.
The counselling process for ITI admissions to Uttar Pradesh will be carried out on the basis of a merit list prepared by the officials, taking into account the marks secured by the applicants in their respective qualifying examinations.
Only those candidates whose names are included in the merit list will be allowed to participate in the UP ITI admissions counselling process.
The consultation process for the final allocation of seats will be carried out in multiple rounds.
Candidates will have the option of "Float" in the event that they are not satisfied with the allocated seats and are willing to wait for better options for the outcome of the subsequent round of counselling and seat allocation.
If the candidates are satisfied with the allocated seats, they may exercise their right to "freeze" the seat. In such a scenario, candidates will not be allowed to participate in subsequent rounds of counselling and seat allocation.
The result of the seat allocation will be updated on the official website of the Uttar Pradesh State Council for Vocational Training. Those candidates who have been allocated seats will be notified by their registered mobile number.
Applicants will be given 6 days thereafter to deposit the admission fee and confirm their admission to the allocated seats. Candidates who do not confirm their admission within the timeframe allocated will be barred from the counselling process and the allocated seats will be confiscated.
If the candidates applying for admission to the private ITI in Uttar Pradesh do not confirm their admission within the time limit. Private ITIs have the right to reserve such seats as management quota seats where the eligible candidates will be admitted outside the SVCT portal.
Eligible candidates only have to pay the admission fee in order to confirm their admission to these management quota seats.
