WBCHSE Class 12 Remaining Exams Cancelled; Result To Be Declared On July 31

The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) will not be conducting the remaining WB Class 12 board exams scheduled from July 2, 2020 to July 8, 2020.

Following the Supreme Court hearing that CBSE and ICSE examinations to be cancelled, the state Education Minister Partha Chatterjee announced the cancellation of the WBCHSE HS exams 2020.

The WBCHSE Result 2020 is expected to be declared on July 31, 2020. Candidates are advised to keep an eye on the official website.

The Education Minister said, "For the assessment of the cancelled papers, the Council will take into consideration the marks obtained in already conducted papers. In this case, the highest marks scored in a certain paper will be taken into consideration for the cancelled papers."

Adding to this he said, "If any candidate had reservations about the evaluation method of the remaining papers, he/she can appeal to the Council for writing those papers after the COVID-19 situation stabilizes and get the new dates for the exams."

Close to 8 lakh students appeared for WBCHSE 2020 and were waiting for the declaration of the results.

Since the examinations this year were delayed following the COVID-19 outbreak, the West Bengal 12 Board Results 2020 have also been delayed. As per the last year's statistics total of 8,16,243 students appeared for the exams and the overall pass percentage was 86.92%.

The students who fail to achieve the passing criteria in WBCHSE 2020 can appear for the supplementary examination.
