I am in the B.Tech Electronics Engineering program at IERT Allahabad. The faculty is generally well-qualified, mostly with M.Tech and Ph.D. degrees. However, the placement scenario is a mixed bag. While some students get placed with companies like TCS and Wipro, the average package is about 4 LPA, and the highest recorded was 24 LPA. The college fees are approximately 58,000 a year, which is reasonable, and many students benefit from scholarships provided by the UP government.
I am currently pursuing B.Tech in Electrical Engineering at IERT Allahabad. The faculty here is quite varied; some are really good and hold PhDs, while others seem less effective in teaching. The average placement package is around 5-6 LPA, with the highest being around 25 LPA. However, the placement percentage is not very high, about 15-20%, as many students focus on government jobs instead. The fees are quite affordable at 58,000 per year, and scholarships are available, which help a lot of students like me.
As someone who studied at IERT Allahabad, I'd suggest looking for a better college. Unfortunately, the place has seen quite a decline. The infrastructure is in a bad state, with poorly maintained classrooms, washrooms, and auditoriums. Cleanliness is a significant concern, and the hygiene levels are quite low.
Regarding placements, things are uncertain. Back in 2009, only about 60 out of 150 students got jobs through campus placements. With more students and branches now, I'm skeptical about the number getting placed. Additionally, the better faculty from the Diploma wing no longer teach B.Tech students, leaving the Degree Division with average teachers.
Overall, the learning environment isn't great, and it's tough to develop a strong personality here. It's hard to be this honest, but after going through it all, this is the reality.
IERT Allahabad has seen a decline in quality over the years. This is mainly because the infrastructure hasn't kept up with the growing student population. The management seems more focused on adding new courses instead of improving facilities, which are actually getting worse.
Back in 2012, there were about 200 students across three branches. Now, there are over 500 students, but the number of companies visiting for placements hasn't increased. TCS is the main recruiter and they hired around 35 students from a batch of 200 back then.
IERT has also been involved in several scholarship scams recently. They are trying to mimic other UPTU colleges that have over 1000 students, but they don't realize that the college isn't getting enough funds and any money that does come in often gets misused by some greedy clerks.
I'm studying B.Tech in Civil Engineering at IERT Allahabad. The faculty is decent, with many professors holding advanced degrees, but some teaching methods vary in effectiveness.
For placements, we become eligible starting from the 7th semester, and the average package is around 4 LPA, with the highest being 52 LPA. The college fees are also manageable at 58,000 per year, and there's a scholarship system that helps cover the costs for many students.
