Remarks

The college campus is big but still doesn't have proper labs, hostels or a proper entrance. The fee structure is good but apart from it, the faculties are not that good. The college has an okay cafeteria which should be improved soon.

Course Curriculum Overview

2

The course was of our university was not very tough but still some subject were a little bit complex as it was mechanical engineering. In the first year we had same courses, all basic subjects. Every branch had to study every subject as the others. The second year was more technical, subjects like machine design and drawing were there. Apart from the main subjects, we also had mathematics to take care of for 3 more semesters. The labs were just ok as we have more focused on theory than on practicals as it is B.E not B.Tech, but still we did decent amount of practical and also attended a workshop for last two semesters. It also helped us in our major project submission which was a working one. The focus on research was upto us at the end.

Placement Experience

0.5

The placement services in our college or any other colleges in our city for that matter, was very bad, few or no companies came, and which who did the took us for some time and then didn't help further to get a permanent job as one would've wanted. The internship we had to find for ourselves and we did which also led to some job opportunities, which was good. Still no help was provided by the college whatsoever.

College Events

5

Events held at the college are annual fest, named as roccia. The Navratri event which is dandia night and some small other events like holi and ganpati utsav. The annual and garba are big events, the participation rate is also very good in them.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite good, not very high for a local resident as it is under 30k and also scholarships are offered. The scholarship also depends on the performance (before joining and even after joining in some cases)

Fees and Financial Aid

The best and most beneficial offer to avail at my college was of tfw, the same tution fee waiver, which I got selected in through the counseling. The tfw also cost 10 times less than the normal counseling. Due to this I had to pay only half of the regular fees.

Campus Life

2

Extra curricular activities were good not great. I always played football, it was not present at the time we joined. We started and many others joined. Other sports included indoor and outdoor games like volleyball, basketball, cricket, table tennis, chess and carrom to name a few.

Hostel Facilities

3

No i was a local resident, so i did not need to stay at hostel. In our college se did not have hostel, most students were local and others were provided help by the college to find rooms near the college, so it becomes easy for them to commute.

Alumni/Alumna

The college seniors were helpful and helped us in our practical theory and also encouraged in annual events, sports too. They helped us in building our confidence and also provided information like where to do coaching and improve our skills and also where to find good internships as college didn't helped us there.

Admission

After finishing my high school, I wanted to do engineering for my graduation as I was a pcm student and so, I applied for counseling to get into any engineering college which would suit me financially. I got selected in this college through the counselling, which means tuition fee waiver, so I didn't had to pay much just some bus charges and extra curriculum fee, the tuition fee was not included in it. This college was placed fourt in the list which i filled. I scored 80% in my 12th state boards. In the tfw counseling we also had to fill any branch of our preference, I selected mechanical engineering, which was tough to get in any colleges due to competition. Every college gave two tfw seats in which you had to pay no tution fees(which means close to half of the total fee). After I got selected at the same time, i also cleared IMU exam which is for merchant navy. I was offered marine engineering and nautical science, but by that time due to some financial problems I selected the engineering from my town. After accepting the college all I had to do was go and fill some forms of my details and i got my brach.

Faculty

1.5

The faculty was just alright, not very qualified as I expected, but did just fine. Some were exceptional, others were not that good. I liked the ones who took us at the lab all the time and helped us in the practical aspect of the study, whereas some just took boring lectures and didn't do much. The first two years we had some of the best teachers, the last two years they were replaced for some unknown reason, which hurt the college and affected our performance and growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

i would rate the curriculum around 5 or 6 out of 10. i chose this course mainly because of the computer and coding subjects. the syllabus is mostly theory based and many topics are not very useful for current industry needs. practical classes and real projects are also limited. more coding, projects and updated technologies should be added. exams are frequent during the semester and the difficulty is mostly average but sometimes checking feels strict.
