I did Ph.D. in Microbiology, which is a triple major course. Each major had equal weightage and the course curriculum was updated with the latest trends and industry demands. The curriculum and the exam structure was based on the structure of the Bharathiar University. So in totality, it will give a positive review in terms of academics.
Placements mainly depend on the student’s performance. If you don’t do well in academics you might face challenges in the placement process, as many of our seniors are unemployed as such. So do take this point into consideration.
Ph.D Microbiology was a three-year program. The hostel charges are also quite nominal. There is a library which is quite decent and the labs are quite good too. Fee Structure was quite decent when you evaluate it with the type of facilities provided by the College.
Only events that take place on the college campus are based on academics. Apart from that, some sports events, campaigns, workshops, etc. are also organized. Your faculty will push you towards extracurricular activities for your own good. Sports competitions, NCC, etc. are also there.
Admission in a Ph.D. in microbiology is based on Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by Bharathiar University and candidate may submit their applications for applying Ph.D., available on the University website. The duly filled in application along with necessary fee should be submitted through Bharathiar University and the second copy should be forwarded to the Institute. After the receipt of the applications Institute will interview the candidate. Admission is based on CET and interview score.
The faculty was excellent in my department. You know when a faculty is committed and when they are just passing time. All of our faculty members were supportive and thorough in terms of teaching. If I have to pick out one thing which stands out for Pasteur institute of India is the faculty, faculty that is capable of shaping your career.
Placement is provided for final UG and PG students and most of the companies are IT and small insurance companies and people from all department are placed. Most of them are for small jobs with a salary from 5000 - 15000. No proper training is provided for students. The real success rate of placement is questionable, but for simple jobs, you can opt it.
I took a common entrance test which is conducted by Bharathiar University. After taking this test, an interview was conducted by the institute. Based on my scores and interview, I got admission to this institute.
I am yet to explore the placement side of the institute as I has just begun the course.
Worst management ever seen. They always look forward for money and not on future of students. They only need money even in this covid pandermic situation they look into collection of fees. The labs in our college are worst with no chemicals, the machinaries are not in working condition, no safety measures. Not even simple basic requirement for the lab. Even the class room are worst, no fan, light, its really hard to study in that class. We had given a lot of complaints to management and they are not interested in any of that
The admission and application process for the CMC Distance Education courses was done online. Applicants to M.Med., MFM, PGDG and PGDMH courses must hold a valid MCI/ State Medical Council Registration. The admission was done with ease.
The college has tie up with many hospitals for internship. They provided stipend during internship. They even provided us clinical and hands on training. I was placed in a well reputed hospital during my placement.
Here all things are too good. Moreover some kind of government helping for students getting a job opportunity by clearing NET/SLET/Gate examinations, to conducting couching class for student future, it would be taken in free of cost.
