Remarks

1. College rankings in the year 20162. Best private university in state3. Number of faculty in Computer science department4. Placement record5. Good placement opportunities available6. College infrastructure7. Feedback from alumni and seniors were good

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is updated according to the technology introduced in industry, it provided with the introduction and help build students their own interests, the faculty team is young and keep themselves updated( In my case, Computer science and engineering department), also with compulsory internship students can make the best of the opportunity. Also a student is required to maintain 75% attendance, which is manageable provided the number of working days in a semester. The university follows a CBCS system which implies for each subject a student gets some number of credits and on clearing the subjects in a semester you get corresponding numbers of credits. The results are given in form of SGPA(Semester grade point) and CGPA( Cumulative grade point), which is in the range 1-10. Also on not clearing a subject, student can opt for a Make-up semester in the upcoming semester break, and reappear for the classes of the subject and rewrite the exam.

Internships Opportunities

After every year students are required to do an internship, and in final semester there is compulsory internship for at least a duration of 4 months. I have interned with Upsilon IT solutions, Trinaabh Infotech. And in my final year I completed internship from IIT Bombay.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement is good for CS/IT/EC branches with companies like TCS, Wipro, IBM, Cognizant, Xoriant, Amdocs conducting on campus drives. And the placement department keeps us updated with open campus drives and encourage us to apply in the jobs offered by them. There is an incubation cell in the college that helps in pitching your startup ideas and form a community.

College Events

3.5

There are two fests that are organised which collectively are of 3-4 days long, one is technical fest, Ionos and one is cultural fest, Moonstone. These fests were dramatic and full of enthusiasm in 2016, but then became more of holiday from college life, and not such big events. Students from other colleges are not allowed in these events. Also TedX talks were conducted last year (2019). There are clubs for literature, culture and technology.

Campus Life

Infrastructure is new and labs are well equipped. Sports facilities are not upto the expectations, but sports competitions are organised on inter -college level, and students bring laurels to the college every year. Central library is big and resourceful and provided with large amount of reference material. Bus facility is available for students living in city. There is a canteen with decent food, and some provisional shops are present inside the campus. Also there are separate hostels for boys and girls. The university is located on a hillock which presents with beautiful environment.

Hostel Facilities

I didn't opt for hostels, but some of my friends did. The girls hostel has been shifted to a new building with new infrastructure and spacious rooms. With 3 people sharing one room. Boys hostel is still in an old building. The food is okay and you have options around the university to eat out sometimes. The hostel fee is affordable.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The college is close to my home town and fees is reasonable this two things influence me to choose this course. College prepare at its level but we have to prepare ourselves for each and every hurdle in practice and clinics. The teaching methods of college is very old and slow they should try new methods so that students also take interest in studies. Timing of exams are not fix they take exams any time , they take internals before 1 month of final exams , college not give us paper leave.
