A brief analysis by a student about his institution

It's a WBSCTE approved private college. The eligibility criteria for admission is H.S by science stream either PCB or PCM. You have to crack the entrance exam to be eligible for admission. You have to apply through the West Bengal council website for counseling. After that, you have to allot your seat to the college and then pay the required amount for admission.

I choose this course because of my passion to attach with medical profession. This is a good course to begin a career with pharmacy profession. This college faculty facility is very helpful and friendly. The faculties are highly qualified. Their method of teaching is also very impressive. And there are at least 3 exams per year two internal and one external. It's not so difficult to clear with proper studying and applying some short ways of memorizing all aspects.

Companies like Apollo Pharmacy or like this offer a good opportunity for starting as a pharmacist. The offers post like sells executives or for drug inspection. Sometimes they offer stipends to the students but it's very rare.

After completion of 1st-year students will eligible for campus placements. They are about 3 or 4 companies directly recruiting for their jobs from final year students. And you are going through various other exams for better private or government services. Almost 50% of students are getting their first opportunity from this direct recruitment. The package will vary from 15000-25000 per month according to their interview and their merits. I will go for bachelor's degree according to my dreams. So it's never a bad deal I think so.

This is a two years course. Total of 150000 rupees required ( For 1st year you have to pay 90000 and 60000 for 2nd year). You can apply for Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Scholarship in West Bengal. After completion of the course, there are so many options available- you can apply for any private or government sector jobs or progress yourself by further studying for Bachelor in pharmacy.

Our college every year organize a sports event among students and there is also a picnic added to it. Even other various occasions like Saraswati puja, teachers day, pharmacy week, etc also we celebrate together in college. The library of our college has lots of course-related text or reference books, different types of competitive exams books, many journals and also Indian Pharmacopoeia here. Our college every year organizes a blood donation camp and cloth distribution program in the nonprogress area.
