Remarks
I'm very happy with the program and the curriculum. The program is industry oriented with lot of interaction with senior executives from the industry. Since the teaching approach is workshop based, the learning is 'real' and application oriented. Vedatya gets a lot of support from InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG). The faculty is learned and explains the concepts with much clarity. I'm happy that I made the decision to join the program.
Entrance Preview
A candidate must have a minimum 50% (in best 4 subjects) in CBSE, ICSE or equivalent accreditation in Class 12th of the Indian School System and need to give a test in English and General Awareness. Those with IELTS score of 5.0 or more are exempted from the English exam. The whole admission process is very easy.
Course Curriculum Overview
From the course one learns how to be a manager, exploring the key issues and building a foundation for a career in the hospitality industry. Students thus get exposure to operational skills in a step up approach throughout the programme. Student will work at a hotel for '5' days a week and attend classes only one day at the Institute. Participation in various internal and external, national and international level competitions for an enhanced learning experience
Internships Opportunities
The 24 week internship provides 'on the job experience' that supplements the work experience and skills developed over the first three semesters. This also allows learners to identify areas of interest within the hospitality and tourism business space. Stipend is given between Rs12,000 to Rs15,000 per month.
College Events
The college organizes the competition to develop the creative skills of the students. The competition poses a real world situation to challenge students' critical thinking abilities and creativity. Students showcase their creativity in advertising by designing some thought provoking and entertaining advertisements.
