Course Curriculum Overview
I had always been interested in the workings of a 5-star hotel from the hind side which got me attracted to this course. TIHM has 2 to 3 batches every year with 30 students each. There's 1 councillor appointed for every batch and of course, all the facilities are always ready to help. All the facilities are well qualified with experience of numerous years in the hospitality industry working in the finest brands all around the world to understand the students and devise new learning methods which help them score better and grasp the concept instead of just rot learning. There were weekly tests based on every unit which was completed and internal exams and subjective semester exams every 4 months inclusive of the Practical exams as well
Fees and Financial Aid
It is a 3 years course with the fees being approximately 3.5 lakhs in total rounding off the fees for every year to about 1.2 lakhs. Every semester has 2 instalments. There are many scholarship programs which can be availed by talking to the coordinator or the principal directly. As the course demands, the students are sent for internships in the 3rd or 4th semester for 5 months leading them to earn stipends according to the property they get selected in
Campus Life
There are several fests which are run throughout the year by the students themselves including the annual fest, various festivals, important days etc. The library is fully stacked with books and ebooks forming one of the biggest and most advanced libraries in the suburbs. The classrooms are fully equipped with modern technology like computers, projectors, whiteboards, Air conditioners, clean desks, and window blinds for the comfort of the students and the teaching staff. Extracurricular activities are a major part of this college as the principal themselves are huge sports enthusiasts, leading to several competitions both indoors and outdoors running throughout the year, and students being rewarded for their achievements in the same.
Admission
There wasn't any entrance exam. I had a call with the College coordinator guided me smoothly through the process of my admission. He then asked me to visit the college and check out the infrastructure and the amenities provided by the college to make a final decision. After which he held a counselling session with me and my parents on whether i was sure about choosing this course and cleared my doubts about the course, placements, college and many more things. Then I had to fill an online form of admission on the college website.
