Likes
- Campus life, especially the fact that there was a very big swimming pool.
- Gym, where at the low cost of 300/month you can get tons of equipment + trainer.
- Most of the teachers are very friendly and actually have a passion for teaching.
Dislikes
- The campus is very big. Too big actually. The classes are too far.
- They don't provide busses to all hostels so we have to walk a bit to get to classes.
Course Curriculum Overview
I think the faculty-student ratio is pretty close as there is a lot of non-teaching faculty present, mostly being caretakers, mess-related faculty, hostel faculty, sports, clubs etc. Term exams are pretty hard because we don't get any holiday to prep for them. They are all one after another.
Placement Experience
As normal, 3rd and 4th year students can apply for campus placements. Being a 2nd year student myself, I look forward to these. The highest package I saw was 55+lpa, which was pretty good. KIIT offers 100% placement so I'm sure I'll get a good placement. I plan on taking the GATE exam and pursuing M.Tech.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is 55-75k~ on hostels/sem depending on your room + 120k~ for education. It's pretty costly but they do provide internship opportunities so it's cool. They also have a "100%" placement thing so it's good.
Campus Life
Campus life is the best in my opinion. We have 40+ Clubs to join, a very big library with thousands of books, where you can study all day and night without any problems. We also have a lot of sports like swimming, tennis, and even a gym.
Hostel Facilities
The meal quality could use an improvement but it's probably way better than those served at other hostels ( in other colleges ). We also get non-veg options 3-4 times/week. Registration for the hostel was also very easy.
Admission
The admission process was smooth. I did take an exam, which was online due to covid. I don't think they revealed the cutoff but it wasn't much as they take in 2-3k students for CSE each year. The line was pretty long for admission but it's okay, as they still did it faster than expected.
