Life at Amrita

In our college,course curriculum is different from b pharm course provided by other colleges.They newly added problem based learning .It is very useful when the students get job they can easily solve the problem.They evaluate student daily basis. There attendance, frequent cyclic test and sessional exam.

In Our college six months internship is provide by a wide variety of companies like Sun Pharma , Cipla,and other industries which run by government which offer interships with stipend after the completion of the course

Eight semester students become eligible for campus placement. In our college last year there was 100 percentage of students got placement.The major companies visited are Sun pharma , Cipla ,Dr Reddy's, Johnson & Johnson .And they offer minimum of 300000 per annum.

The year wise fees I paid is 208450 rs in second year and 230750 rs in first year.This fees include tution fee,hostel fee and miscellaneous fee.Tution fees is 150000 rs and students with merit seat have 50000 rs reduction in their tution fee.There will be scholarships for top 12 academic toppers.30 % for first 6 toppers and 20 % for rest.

Annually our college conduct arts fest in month of November or December and sports meet at the month of February or March. There will be other programs related to pharmacy like pharmacy week , pharmacist day , conclaves etc.Also we celebrate cultural festival like holi,onam , deepavali etc.There are more than 10 active student clubs there. In classroom there will be a PC and projector to show the presentation to teach students and other basic facilities .

In room per person there will be table , chair and wardrobe. There are facilities for studying and playing.Meal quality is not good .They mostly provide north indian foods and there is no non veg in the menu

I applied for BSc nursing and B Pharm in Amrita . And I got admission in Bpham.I didn't apply for other colleges but I visited one college for taking admission.And their infrastructure was not good also there was no adequate lab facilities. For taking admission in Amrita we should write a entrance exam conducted by Amrita university.We can apply for the entranceexam in Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham website.

From our batch onwards we have new syllabus apart from our previous batches.We find the course easier and difficult on the other hand . Faculties and student interaction are good .I found biochemistry is easier and I like the subject and teacher had put a lot of efforts so by which I like the subject more.And this year I like microbiology,it's quite interesting.And Each 15 students in the college have one academic advisor.

Gym will be open wt 5:30 am and closes at 9 pm . College canteen will close at 3 o' clock and library at 5 o' clock. College starts at 8:30 starting with prayer and ends at 4 o'clock evening. college hostel will close at 9 pm after that no permission to go out.All over there is only a limited time for night life activities.
