Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum of this degree is very vast and it covers all the aspects required for the future of the student. I choose this course because it helped me to make people smile without insecurities. The curriculum prepares you very well for the outside world by providing internship in the college itself. The classes are taken using ppt presentation and I suggest more of interactive sessions should be included in the curriculum.the exams are taken place every 2 months and a university exam is conducted in the end. The difficult of the exam is medium.
Fees and Financial Aid
So I paid around 1,20,000 for my first year in Gsl dental collége. The registration fees for the government quota is around 10000. The administration fees of the college is also 10000. So there are different quotas under which students can join the college like government quota, management quota and NRI quota, the fees varies for each quota. The fees for management quota is around 4lakh for first year. And for NRI quota it is around 140000 lakh per annum. The fees decreases for the second , third and fourth year. It gets to around 40000 for government quota, 300000 for management quota. Our college also offers scholarship provided by the government and they are based on merit cum need. The library fees for the college is 10000.
Campus Life
There are many events that takes place in the college every month. There are awareness drives conducted in the city by the college students. Campaign are also organised in the rural areas.there is a Library available in the college which is accessible 24×7.all the journals and books are available in the library. The sports is also given very much importance in the college. There are many stadiums for each game like cricket basketball volleyball badminton tennis etc. there is also a gym in the college. There is an NSS club to help motivate students to indulge in social activities.
Admission
I did not apply to any other college. I was alloted this college in the first round of the state counselling. In order to get into the college you have to appear for NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE test. And also the student must acquire minimum cutoff most of the students prefer this college due to its pass percentage being high and academics is very good. The overall admission procedure was good.
Faculty
There are around 50 members for the faculty and students 600 in the campus.the faculty is very friendly and calm and offers help to students whenever in need. There is a lot of cleaning staff appointed for the maintainance of the college. The curriculum constitutes of around 5 years which includes internship as well. Even though no stipend is given to the interns.the exams are conducted every two months. Around three term exams are conducted in the college and then a university exam is conducted in the end. A student must get 50% to pass on to next year.
Night Life
The nightlife in the college campus is very safe. There àre guards installed in all the gates. And students without the permission of parents and coordinator are not allowed to leave the campus.the timings for the hostel are 9 for girls and 11 for boys the locality is very safe to roam around at night.
