- The course objectives which requires thinking and creating
- The programmes being held that look good atleast in photos
- Some of the faculties being younger understand the plight of the students and other faculties seem more relatable
Dislikes
- The negligence of teaching the real world requirements of being an architect
- They don’t teach us any software and we’re supposed to learn on our own
- Some of the faculties are extremely judgemental and since this course is marked subjectively the marks heavily fluctuates on the basis of the juror or mentor we get
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose architecture course as a passion but this particular college was chosen by the college The part of the curriculum I liked were the studios and workshops they provide They don't prepeare you for real world but they help you make connections Teaching a bit of law and rules and regulations and including software skills as a part of the teaching ciriculum should be mandatory
Fees and Financial Aid
Yearly payment is 1.15 lacs As a caution 1 lac is collected Management fees is 2.15 lacs SC/ST don't have any special privileges regarding the fee structure The hostel fees for a semester is 91000 including food
Campus Life
Since all the programs are held by the student body alone with no help from the faculties and considering our busy schedule there are 3 programs held consistently Onam, Christmas and our annual celebration 600 which happens normally during October or November Many other programs also come in between like for the Valentine's Day Halloween Diwali etc but that depends upon the schedule of the students The college puts a great deal into sports such that even the faculty is engrossed and included in the martches A lot of clubs are there each which puts up there own programs throughout the year
Admission
I applied to CAT and MIT I didn't get in MIT because my jee marks were not tupto standard To get into CAT you need to take science as your major for 11th and 12th You need to submit your physics chemistry and biology marks You need to clear NATA exam And you need to apply the NATA marks in the KEAM site and you wait for to get a callback
Faculty
The faculty ratio is set at 1 mentor for 12-13 students. The facutlies are approachable but some of them are extremely judgemental I don't like charudathan and krishnan potti especially potti being irregular to classes all the time and giving away our ideas to other students without any care and unecesary inappropriate critisizing The theory subjects are relatively easier to score but we do not get time to study due to our studio works
Night Life
On college we normally hang out at the canteen Keyhole , cubes and 5 stones The keyhole is the go to place for couples Outside there are many places such as kadamb hills Ayiravalli river Cafe talkies All within a range of 3-5 kms The locality is safe even in the nights and cozy since the ppl around are village ppl
