Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because the curriculum is focused on practical learning instead of only theory. It includes case studies, presentations, live projects, and industry interactions, which help in building real world skills. The exams are conducted regularly in the forms of CE's and also end term exam . I feel the curriculum is well planned and it will definitely make the students industry ready.
Internships Opportunities
I have not started my internship yet, as I am in the first year of the PGDM program. The college has a dedicated placement and corporate relations team that helps students secure summer internships with reputed companies in marketing, finance, HR, and operations. Before internships, students receive training through workshops, resume-building sessions, aptitude preparation, and mock interviews. These activities help students become industry ready and improve their chances of getting good internship opportunities.
Placement Experience
as a first-year PGDM student, I haven't experienced the placement process yet, but the college has a dedicated placement cell that conducts training, mock interviews, aptitude sessions, and resume building workshops. Many reputed companies visit the campus for placements in marketing, finance, HR, and operations roles. Students become eligible for placements in the final year after completing their internship. My goal after completing the course is to secure a good marketing role through campus placements and build my career in the corporate sector.
Fees and Financial Aid
The Total Fee of SBS is around 7.85 Lakh for 2 year program which is divided into 4 semesters and apart from that hostel fees is different it depends on the kind of room sharing you opt for. there is a scholarship of Rs. 2,00,000 from IDFC FIRST BANK provided to students who match certain criteria and are eligible.
Campus Life
Campus life has been enjoyable so far with a good balance of academics and extracurricular activities. The college also has active clubs like the Entrepreneurship Club, Marketing Club, Debate Club, Book Club, and Film Club. Students can also participate in dance, singing, and other cultural activities throughout the year. The classrooms are well-equipped, and the library has a good collection of books and journals. Overall, the campus environment is engaging and encourages students to learn beyond the classroom.
Hostel Facilities
I stay in the college hostel, and my experience has been good so far. The rooms are clean and have the basic facilities needed for students. The hostel registration process was simple and completed during admission. The food quality is decent, with a menu that changes regularly and includes both North and South Indian dishes. The hostel is secure, well-maintained, and located close to the academic block, making it convenient for daily classes. Overall, it provides a comfortable environment for students.
Admission
I had applied to a few other colleges, but I chose Shanti Business School because of its industry-focused PGDM program, small batch size, and practical learning approach. The admission process was smooth and included an application, entrance exam score, and a personal interview with group discussion. The faculty and overall environment also gave me a positive impression. Compared to the other colleges I considered, SBS seemed to offer better industry exposure and student support, which is why I decided to join here
Faculty
The faculty members are friendly and approachable and they encourage students to ask questions. Since the batch size is small teachers are able to give personal attention. The course includes case studies, presentations, assignments, and practical learning along with regular classes. Exams are moderate in difficulty, and the marking is based on internal assessments, projects, presentations, and end-term exams.
Interview Experience
My GD topic was "The Importance of Financial Literacy" . The discussion was simple and gave everyone a chance to express their views. After that, I had a personal interview where I was asked about myself, my graduation, why I wanted to pursue a PGDM, and why I chose Shanti Business School. I prepared by reading about current affairs. Overall, the admission process was smooth, friendly, and well organized.
Night Life
The campus has a peaceful and safe environment, and basic essentials are easily available nearby. I stay in the hostel, where the in-time is 11 PM, which gives students enough time to relax after classes. The campus has a gym and a cafeteria that stays open till 10 PM, making it convenient for students. The library is open till 5 PM and has good study resources. After classes, students usually spend time in the cafeteria, gym, or nearby cafés with friends. Overall, the campus offers a comfortable and student-friendly environment with a good balance of academics and social life.
