Mari State University Eligibility for Indian Students

The 6-year MBBS (General Medicine, Specialist degree) is MarSU’s flagship offering for Indian students. It is taught in English medium, so no Russian preparatory year is required. The program is NMC-listed and included in the WHO’s World Directory of Medical Schools, which makes graduates eligible for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) and the upcoming NExT.

The course runs for 6 years, structured as 5 years of academic training plus 1 year of clinical internship in affiliated Russian hospitals. Reality check: NEET-UG qualification at the NMC minimum percentile is mandatory for Indian MBBS aspirants. Only NEET-qualified graduates can register as licensed doctors in India after the FMGE or NExT.

Mari State University Application Process for Indian Students

MarSU accepts online applications from Indian students through its own admissions portal. There is no central platform such as UCAS or Common App involved. The steps below follow the sequence published by the International Office.

1. Register on the MarSU International Admissions portal. There is no application fee to pay at this step.
