The application process for British Council IELTS Award 2020 is a two-step procedure.
Applicants are advised to apply for admission at their chosen universities in Germany as they need to provide a letter of acceptance by July 31, 2020.
The British Council IELTS Award 2020 selection process comprises of several stages:
Stage I: Initial screening of applications to ensure the fulfillment of 2020 British Council IELTS Award eligibility criteria.
Stage II: Shortlisting five applicants based on their IELTS Award applications and personal statements.
Stage III: The Council emails all the applicants to inform them about the status of the IELTS 2020 Award application.
Stage IV: Shortlisted students are invited for an interview session by the panel of British Council experts.
Stage V: Shortlisted students have to submit a copy of the following documents:
Failure to provide the required documents, before July 31, 2020, will result in the removal from the British Council IELTS 2020 Award shortlist.
The name of the selected British Council IELTS 2020 Award recipient will be announced by the end of July 2020.
The British Council IELTS Award is designed for only those candidates who have taken their IELTS test between June 01, 2019, and June 10, 2020, at a British Council center in Germany. Those who have not attempted the test until now, are advised to prepare for the IELTS 2020 and take the test as soon as possible.
The recipient(s) will be awarded the scholarship amount of £10,000, to assist with their tuition fee. The tuition fee of the planned course should not be less than £3,000 and the offer letter should be in the possession of the applicants on or before July 31, 2020.
The Council has established a specific set of requirements for the applicants of the IELTS 2020 Award. One of the key requirements is that the applicants must meet the minimum overall IELTS test score requirements:

British Council IELTS Award is generally given to those who are able to demonstrate the substantial positive difference their higher studies can make towards the community and their country.
This award can be clubbed with any other award if that covers only the partial tuition fee. But if the applicant already has full tuition fee covering grant/scholarship he/she is not eligible to take this award.
Applicants and recipients must note that if the tuition fees of the chosen student are below the maximum individual fund of £10,000, the remaining fund may be allocated to support other runners-up(s).
