Jonkoping University enrols about 12,600 students every year. Among them, about 2,314 are international students hailing from 75 different countries. The university has an acceptance rate ranging between 40-50%. Applications are accepted online for both UG and PG courses.

The university provides various undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the field of Business Administration, Informatics, Product System and Development, Mass Communication, Education, etc. A total of 27 courses are offered at the University. Jonkoping University International Students Admission

The requirements are different for every country. The students should check the requirements of their country before applying. Below is the list of documents that are required for admission by Indian applicants:

  • Copy of passport (valid for 6 months when applying)
  • Confirmation of enrollment (CoE), stating the duration of the course.
  • Receipt of the first installment of the course fees.

*Note: Students can exempt the English language tests under the following conditions:

  • If the student has completed high school/Bachelor's degree with English as the medium of instruction.
  • If the student has completed a 1-year degree at the master’s level from an institute where English is the only language of instruction.
  • If the student has a bachelor's degree with English as the main subject.

Visa Process

The international students will have to apply for a permit to study in Sweden University for a full-time program. Steps to apply for the permit:

  • Fill the resident permit application form online through Migrationsverket Website.
  • Upload the documents required and submit the application form.
  • Pay the application fees of SEK 1,000 through Visa/ Mastercard.
  • Get the confirmation from the embassy through email.
  • Submit all the information at the nearest Embassy of Sweden.

Jonkoping University Undergraduate Admissions

The university evaluates each application only after receiving all the documents and the application form. The selections are confirmed through email and the applicant may be invited for a web-based interview. The interview marks the final selection and the students are sent the offer letter.
