Course Curriculum

8

  • The course syllabus was very relevant. All of us learnt industry software and subjects that were very relevant to the current world. We were given research experience as well. I got an opportunity to do a case study on AI and how it is affecting every creative field at the moment. There are basically 5 days of classes, and the usual timings would be either from 9 to 5 or 9 to 4 or 9 to 3. It varies from every year depending on your workload. The number of students in my class was 12.

Faculty

10

  • The faculty and staff are extremely well-read and professional. They were extremely supportive and helpful during the course and helped us figure out our style and
  • ourselves over the 4 years. They were very approachable and very easy to talk to as well. Ms. Pooja Sakhare was my 3D animation and modelling teacher; she taught me all I know about 3D, and she was one of the best teachers I had during the course of my 4 years.
  • Mr. Ubair Showkat was another teacher who left a great impact on me. He taught UI/UX and also helped me throughout my final project. Both of these professors left a great impact on me and helped me throughout my course.

Campus Life

8

  • The events were all student-run in coordination with the marketing department, and I was a part of the events committee at my university for 3 years. There were a couple of clubs like Music, Dance, Theatre, Art, Media, Literary, and many more. The library had an extensive book collection where all of us could access whatever books we wanted. The sports facilities were amazing.
  • There was a football field that was used quite regularly for team practices, as well as the badminton court and the volleyball court, which could be accessed by students to play during their free time.

Part Time Jobs

  • There are no particular positions as such. Most of the volunteering opportunities are in the university, and they were unpaid and only for 2 hours.

Placement

8

  • Every year, there is a Placement Week that is held at the university. Most of the students secure internships or jobs by attending the interviews there. But, due to the current situation in Dubai (the market is recovering due to the missile attacks that happened at the end of Feb till the end of March) a lot of students/graduates are finding a difficulty in securing jobs, and most of the companies are in a hiring freeze.

Accommodation

Off Campus
6

  • I did not use the Uni accommodation facilities.

Exams

  • I had written the CBSE board exam, so the test scores for the exam were enough to get my admission and my scholarship.

Fees

  • The fees per year were AED 36,000 (with scholarship)
