Amity University Dubai Admission Requirements for Indian Applicants 2027
Requirements track the intake level and the school with English proficiency as the common floor for every Indian applicant.
Postgraduate applicants:
- Bachelor’s degree with CGPA 3.0 out of 4.0 (roughly 60% or CGPA 6.0 out of 10 on the Indian scale)
- English proficiency: IELTS Academic 6.0, TOEFL iBT 79 (0-120 legacy scale), or EmSAT English 1400
- WES or MOFA-attested transcripts submitted before offer conversion
- MBA applicants submit a statement of purpose and a CV; work experience preferred but not mandatory for the 1-year MBA
Undergraduate applicants:
- Class 12 with 60% aggregate from CBSE, ICSE or a recognised state board
- English proficiency: IELTS 5.0, TOEFL iBT 79 (0-120 legacy scale), or EmSAT English 1250
- Engineering and Architecture applicants need 80% in Maths plus Physics or Chemistry, or a passing placement test score of 60%
Key insight: Amity Dubai waives the IELTS or TOEFL requirement for Indian applicants whose Class 12 or bachelor’s was taught in English medium, provided the school issues an MOI letter on official letterhead; this waiver saves roughly INR 15,000 and 3 weeks of test prep.
Amity University Dubai Acceptance Rate 2027
Amity Dubai posts an overall acceptance rate of 53% (estimated) across all bachelor’s and master’s tracks. The figure sits between highly selective UAE campuses and open-admission private colleges. As per third-party admission trackers, the rate has held steady since 2024.
| Year | Acceptance Rate | Trend |
|---|---|---|
| 2026 | 53% (estimated) | Stable |
| 2025 | 53% (estimated) | Stable |
| 2024 | 50% (estimated) | Marginal increase |
Programme-level selectivity is tighter for BSc Computer Science and MBA where scholarship competition raises the effective bar. Amity Dubai does not publish an official admissions funnel report.
Reality check: A 53% headline rate looks generous but the real Indian-applicant conversion depends on scholarship qualification, since students who fall below the 60% merit cut-off often reconsider once the full AED 258,300 tuition is on the table without a bursary discount.

Amity University Dubai Campus, Facilities and Student Life
Amity Dubai occupies a single 65,000 sqm campus in Dubai International Academic City with academic blocks, sports fields and on-campus residence towers.
- Location and transport: Dubai International Academic City, 30 minutes to Downtown Dubai via the Al Ain Road; free campus shuttle from Rashidiya Metro Station and International City
- Housing: On-campus dorms cost AED 25,000 to AED 42,000 per year (INR 6.51 lakh to INR 10.94 lakh); Amity Dubai does not guarantee housing but assigns rooms on a first-come basis to international students
- Facilities: Central library, 15 research labs, moot court, radio studio, fashion studio and a full FIFA-standard football pitch
- Indian student community: Roughly 40 to 45% of the student body is Indian-origin, giving new arrivals a ready peer network from day one
- Student services: Dedicated international student office, visa processing, airport pickup and orientation buddy programme
What Indian students say: New arrivals commonly flag two things: the campus feels smaller than Amity Noida but the Indian food options in DIAC and International City remove the culture-shock barrier, and internships with Dubai-based Indian conglomerates are easier to land than expected in the first summer.
Amity University Dubai Scholarships 2027
Amity Dubai runs three confirmed named scholarships plus a merit-based tuition discount pool that can trim fees by up to 50% for qualifying Indian applicants.
| Scholarship | Type | Award Value | Eligibility | Deadline |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Amity Merit Scholarship | Academic merit | Up to 50% tuition waiver | Class 12 or bachelor’s aggregate above institutional cut-off | Rolling with application |
| DEWA Employee Scholarship | Sponsor discount | 30% tuition discount | Dependents of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority staff | Rolling |
| UAE National Scholarship | Nationality-based | 30% tuition discount | UAE nationals; not applicable to Indian applicants | Rolling |
| RTA Employee Scholarship | Sponsor discount | 30% tuition discount | Dependents of Roads and Transport Authority staff | Rolling |
[Source: Amity University Dubai Scholarships page]
Indian applicants without UAE sponsor ties should focus on the Amity Merit Scholarship where the 50% ceiling is the largest single reduction available. The scholarship applies to the entire degree provided the student maintains the CGPA threshold each semester.
Planning note: Merit awards are reassessed every academic year against a CGPA cut-off, so falling below the threshold in year one converts an INR 33 lakh saving into full-tuition liability from year two onwards; budget for the full sticker price as a backup.

Amity University Dubai Rankings 2027
Amity Dubai’s strongest ranking presence is on Collegedunia Study Abroad 2026 at #709 of 824 globally and #9 of 15 in the UAE. Global bodies list the Dubai campus in the 1000-band tier where it has held steady since 2024.

Amity Dubai has held QS Contributor status for the QS Arab Region Rankings 2026 without appearing in the published list. The 2025 QS World band and US News 2025 rank remain the last verified global positions.
Key insight: The UAE’s Ministry of Education does not gate work-visa eligibility to a global rank cut-off, so Amity Dubai graduates access the same UAE post-study residence pathways as students from #200-band universities, making rank secondary to CAA accreditation.

Amity University Dubai Placements and Career Outcomes
Placement outcomes at Amity Dubai are handled by the Career Resource Centre with hiring across UAE, India and Gulf-region employers.
- Median starting salary: INR 5 to 7 lakh (market median across bachelor’s and master’s graduates)
- Highest reported package: INR 21 lakh (Amity Dubai official disclosure)
- Post-MBA median salary: AED 8,000 to AED 12,000 per month or INR 25 lakh to INR 37 lakh annually (market median)
- Top recruiter sectors: Banking and finance, IT services, hospitality, real estate, media and advertising
- Named recruiters (Amity network): Accenture, Capgemini, DXC Technology, Emirates NBD, HSBC (as per Amity Group placement disclosures)
- Career support: On-campus recruitment drives, CV clinics, LinkedIn workshops and a 2-year post-study work visa route in the UAE
Insider note: Indian graduates from Amity Dubai land UAE roles more easily in banking operations, hospitality management and IT services because a Dubai-issued degree bypasses the equivalency attestation that Indian bachelor’s degrees need for a UAE work permit.
Amity University Dubai vs Peer Universities
Amity Dubai competes with other India-linked and mid-tier UAE campuses on price, admission ease and Indian applicant experience. The peer set below compares Dubai-based options at similar tuition and rank tiers.
| University | QS World 2027 | Collegedunia Study Abroad 2026 | Avg Annual PG Fee (AED / INR lakh) | Differentiator |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Amity University Dubai | Not ranked | #709 of 824 | 66,000 / 17.19 lakh | Rolling admissions, 1-year MBA, 50% merit scholarship |
| Heriot-Watt University Dubai | #281 | Ranked (position varies) | 90,000 / 23.45 lakh (estimated) | UK degree awarded in Dubai, strong engineering brand |
| Middlesex University Dubai | #753 | Ranked (position varies) | 75,000 / 19.54 lakh (estimated) | UK degree, business and media strength |
| Manipal Academy of Higher Education Dubai | Not ranked | Ranked (position varies) | 60,000 / 15.63 lakh (estimated) | Indian-origin, engineering and health sciences focus |
| BITS Pilani Dubai | Not ranked | Ranked (position varies) | 55,000 / 14.33 lakh (estimated) | Indian-origin, engineering-only, tight admission bar |
Amity Dubai stands out on rolling admissions and the 50% merit ceiling; peer UK-branded campuses charge 25 to 35% more but carry higher QS visibility. Applicants prioritising cost and admission speed pick Amity Dubai; those prioritising QS World rank pick Heriot-Watt or Middlesex.
Amity University Dubai fits Indian applicants who want a UAE degree at a moderate price, rolling admissions and the safety of an Indian-origin brand in a Gulf posting. Total 4-year investment on a scholarship-supported bachelor’s runs INR 40 to 55 lakh against an Indian-graduate median of INR 5 to 7 lakh, giving a 6 to 8 year payback horizon if you stay in the UAE on the UAE post-study work visa route.
Amity Dubai is not the fit for applicants targeting a top-500 QS World brand for global mobility or gunning for MS routes to Canada and the US after graduation; those students should shortlist Heriot-Watt Dubai or apply directly to Manipal Academy of Higher Education in India for the parent-brand degree.

- However, in terms of academics, Amity does not perform well, it has a good curriculum but more emphasis on latest trends should be given.
- There is limited competition and rigorous environment with less emphasis on strengthening the basics.
- Highly theoretical concepts are taught and exams are mug-up based, due to which there is no practical learning involved.

- The time I joined Amity University as a BFA Animation student, the course was fairly new (I was the second batch of BFA Animation) and they were still figuring out the course structure and the way we learnt each softwares were different from each of my juniors.
