De Montfort University Dubai fees for Indian students depend on the course, intake, and payment route. De Montfort University (DMU) Dubai publishes separate undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) rates. The tables use United Arab Emirates (UAE) dirhams (AED) and Indian rupees (INR). AED 93,713 (INR 24.37 Lakhs) to AED 104,186 (INR 27.09 Lakhs) is the PG range annually. UG tuition ranges from AED 63,614 (INR 16.54 Lakhs) to AED 75,191 (INR 19.55 Lakhs) annually. The Master of Business Administration (MBA) Global costs AED 104,186 (INR 27.09 Lakhs) for one full-time year.

DMU Dubai guarantees on-campus accommodation for all first-year students. The current published fee material gives no monthly living-cost figure. Request the residence quote before comparing private housing, bills, deposits, lease length, or transport.

The one-year full-time Master of Science (MSc) Artificial Intelligence minimum is AED 94,238 (INR 24.50 Lakhs). A 30% award plus a 3% full-payment discount could reduce that outlay. The reduced amount is AED 64,156.13 (INR 16.68 Lakhs) before living costs. DMU Dubai has not published a later fee year in the supplied material. January 2027 uses the current schedule unless the offer states otherwise.

The INR calculations use 1 AED = INR 26.00 on 14 August 2026, from open.er-api.com.

September 2026 Intake: Current cycle and January 2027 option

Intake: September 2026 is open on a rolling basis. Its start is within the visa-processing window on 14 August 2026. January 2027 is the realistic next option for new visa-sponsored applicants. DMU Dubai accepts applications until each intake starts, subject to seats. Selected UG and PG courses list January entry. No fixed closing date is published.

Fee update: The 2026/27 schedule lists standard UG tuition at AED 63,614 (INR 16.54 Lakhs). Standard PG tuition is AED 93,713 (INR 24.37 Lakhs). MBA Global costs AED 104,186 (INR 27.09 Lakhs). The offer acceptance fee is AED 4,000 (INR 1.04 Lakhs) and reduces tuition.

When to pay: Pay AED 4,000 (INR 1.04 Lakhs) when accepting an offer from September 2026 onward. It is deductible from annual tuition.

Scholarships: International Student Scholarships offer up to 40% of tuition for eligible international applicants. Academic Merit Scholarships offer 20% to 30% for eligible UG applicants. Postgraduate Excellence Awards offer up to 30% for eligible PG applicants. The target-intake deadline is pending.

Next step: Compare the intake route and payment requirements on De Montfort University Dubai admissions before submitting.

DMU Dubai lists 10 postgraduate rows here, with PG tuition starting at AED 93,713 (INR 24.37 Lakhs) annually. MBA Global is priced separately at AED 104,186 (INR 27.09 Lakhs).

De Montfort University Dubai Postgraduate Fees: 2026/27

Ten PG programmes cost AED 93,713 (INR 24.37 Lakhs) annually, except MBA Global at AED 104,186 (INR 27.09 Lakhs). The table includes Master of Arts (MA) and MSc routes. Full-time study lasts one year. Part-time study lasts two years.

Indicative full-course figures use the published duration and current annual rate at unchanged current rates. They are not future-fee forecasts.

  • Full-time PG study completes in one year, which limits living-cost exposure.
  • Part-time PG study stretches tuition across two years, with evening and weekend teaching.
  • MBA Global is the only listed PG course in the higher fee band.
  • The 25% visa-sponsorship payment applies to annual net tuition, not twice.

Indicative full-course figures use the published duration and current annual rate at unchanged current rates. They are not future-fee forecasts.

  • Standard business tuition is AED 63,614 (INR 16.54 Lakhs) annually.
  • Computing and engineering examples use AED 75,191 (INR 19.55 Lakhs) annually.
  • International Year Zero (IYZ) is a separate foundation route at AED 46,305 (INR 12.04 Lakhs).
  • UG applicants should confirm January availability because entry varies by programme.

Source: DMU Dubai fees and funding page.

Note: The 2026/27 schedule quotes annual PG tuition at AED 93,713 (INR 24.37 Lakhs) for most courses. September 2026 and January 2027 totals depend on course availability and payment terms. Full-time PG tuition covers one year. Part-time tuition spans two annual charges.

Next step: Shortlist programmes by fee band, then compare each course’s intake and scholarship route through DMU Dubai admissions.

De Montfort University Dubai Fee Trend by Year

The 2026/27 schedule sets standard UG tuition at AED 63,614 (INR 16.54 Lakhs). Standard PG tuition is AED 93,713 (INR 24.37 Lakhs).

DMU Dubai does not publish a multi-year fee archive in the supplied official material. A year-on-year (YoY) percentage cannot be computed without two published years.

Key Insight: September 2026 is the primary listed intake, while January 2027 follows for selected courses. The same 2026/27 schedule lists standard PG tuition at AED 93,713 (INR 24.37 Lakhs). Waiting offers no published price benefit.

Use the latest published fee year until DMU Dubai releases another schedule. Recalculate totals when the next official fee year appears.

Cost of Living in Dubai for Indian Students

The only published housing commitment is one guaranteed on-campus place for every first-year student.

No official monthly living-cost figure is supplied in the available DMU Dubai facts. The table therefore separates verified housing guidance from unpriced expenses.

  • On-campus housing removes the first-year availability risk, but not the payment risk.
  • Ask whether the residence quote includes utilities, meals, internet, deposits, and lease length.
  • Private neighbourhood comparison needs a dated university or public-authority rent range.
  • Transport should be checked against the campus timetable and residence location.

Private Housing Near Dubai for Indian Students

One official figure is missing: DMU Dubai publishes no private-housing rent range in the supplied facts.

Treat nearby areas as commute options, not cheaper choices. Confirm rent, bills, deposit, lease length, and transport together.

Note: Do not add a market rent estimate to a visa or loan budget. DMU Dubai confirms first-year on-campus availability, not a public monthly price.

A dated residence quote is the next number needed before choosing between September 2026 and January 2027.

Currency Tip: For September 2026, keep the AED 4,000 (INR 1.04 Lakhs) offer payment ready at acceptance. For January 2027, reconfirm the applicable 2026/27 rate before remitting funds.

Total Cost of Studying at De Montfort University Dubai

The known first-year academic minimum for MSc Artificial Intelligence is AED 94,238 (INR 24.50 Lakhs), before living costs.

The worked example uses one full-time PG year and 12 months of living. DMU Dubai does not publish the living figure needed for a complete total.

  • Tuition covers the published annual fee for one full-time PG year.
  • The AED 4,000 (INR 1.04 Lakhs) acceptance payment reduces tuition.
  • The AED 525 (INR 13,650) application charge is separate and non-refundable.
  • Living, insurance, visa, flights, and setup costs remain outside the total.
  • The visa-sponsorship deposit is cash flow, not an extra charge, when deducted from tuition.

Full-programme tuition alone is AED 93,713 (INR 24.37 Lakhs) before 12 months of living costs.

A INR 25.00 Lakhs education loan implies an equated monthly instalment (EMI) near INR 33,500 monthly. The calculation uses 10.5% interest over 10 years. This excludes living costs and variable visa charges.

Key Insight: For September 2026 and January 2027, a 30% PG Excellence Award can cut MSc tuition. The saving is AED 28,114 (INR 7.31 Lakhs). A 3% full-payment discount can save AED 1,968 (INR 51,167) on the reduced fee. Lock both before the next instalment only if the offer confirms eligibility.

De Montfort University Dubai Scholarships for Indian Students

DMU Dubai offers up to 40% tuition support for eligible international applicants, including Indian applicants.

Scholarship decisions depend on the award category, academic record, sports record, or community contribution. The current terms cover September 2026 and January 2027 entry cycles.

  • Indian applicants are treated as international applicants for the International Student Scholarship.
  • Academic Merit Scholarships are for UG applicants, not PG applicants.
  • Alumni applicants need proof of a prior DMU Dubai or DMU Leicester degree.
  • One scholarship normally cannot be combined with another scholarship.
  • Separate discounts may follow different conditions and payment deadlines.

External Indian scholarships are not counted in the budget without a current provider value and target-intake deadline.

Tip for Indian Students: Prioritise the International Student Scholarship for September 2026 or January 2027. Its maximum support reaches 40% of tuition. The target-intake submission deadline remains pending.

Next step: Keep scholarship evidence with the course file and review the DMU Dubai admissions requirements.

De Montfort University Dubai Tuition Deposit and Payment Options

DMU Dubai uses a standard AED 4,000 (INR 1.04 Lakhs) offer acceptance fee, then course-specific percentage payments.

The offer acceptance payment is deductible from annual tuition. International students needing university visa sponsorship must bring payments to 25% before enrolment.

Methods of Payment for Indian Students

DMU Dubai lists two direct payment methods, bank transfer and card.

  • Bank transfer is supported using the account details in the signed offer instructions.
  • Credit or debit card payment is available through DMU Dubai’s remote process.
  • No named third-party international payment provider appears in the supplied instructions.
  • A forex card may save 2% to 3% against raw wire costs, subject to card acceptance.
  • Share the instalment schedule with the education-loan lender before disbursement.

Steps to Pay Tuition Fees for International Students

The payment process has five practical steps before enrolment.

  1. Accept the offer and submit the signed offer letter.
  2. Pay the application fee and the required acceptance payment.
  3. Pay the balance needed to reach 25% before visa sponsorship begins.
  4. Pay the remaining balance across the stated instalment schedule.
  5. Keep every payment receipt with the visa and enrolment file.

For the September 2026 intake, the remaining 75% is split into three 25% instalments. For MSc Artificial Intelligence, each instalment is AED 23,428.25 (INR 6.09 Lakhs). The published dates are 5 November 2026, 5 January 2027, and 5 March 2027.

MBA Global uses three instalments of AED 26,046.50 (INR 6.77 Lakhs) under the same 25% structure. January 2027 milestones remain offer-specific in the supplied policy.

Note: For the September 2026 payment cycle, start bank transfers 3 to 5 working days before 5 November 2026. The initial 25% must be traceable before visa sponsorship begins.

Hidden Costs of Studying at De Montfort University Dubai

The first-year hidden-cost minimum starts at AED 23,953.25 (INR 6.23 Lakhs) before visa and housing charges.

  • For September 2026, the 25% visa-sponsorship payment must be ready before enrolment. January 2027 has the next offer-specific schedule.
  • Application processing costs AED 525 (INR 13,650) and is non-refundable.
  • The AED 4,000 (INR 1.04 Lakhs) acceptance payment reduces tuition.
  • United Arab Emirates (UAE) visa, medical, Emirates ID, and insurance charges are not priced in the supplied facts.
  • The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) retake adds a provider fee when scores miss course thresholds.
  • Bank transfer charges depend on the sending bank and currency route.
  • Ask for the first residence payment before booking flights.

Cash Needed Before Arrival for MSc Artificial Intelligence

Cash Needed Before Arrival: AED 23,953.25 (INR 6.23 Lakhs) is the known minimum for application and 25% tuition payments.

The AED 4,000 (INR 1.04 Lakhs) acceptance payment sits inside the 25% amount. It is not counted twice.

Visa charges and accommodation deposits are N/A because no official amounts are supplied. Budget approximately INR 6.23 Lakhs plus unpriced visa and housing charges for first-year hidden costs.

Note: The offer acceptance payment is the cost families forget to separate. It is deductible from tuition. The 25% total becomes non-refundable once visa processing begins.

Fee Saving Strategies for Indian Students

The largest available tuition reduction reaches 40% for eligible international applicants.

For September 2026, submit scholarship evidence with the course file. January 2027 remains the next option for eligible courses.

  • Use guaranteed first-year on-campus housing to avoid a late private lease and deposit.
  • Do not treat part-time work as guaranteed funding. Check permission rules before budgeting it.
  • Ask a tax adviser whether Section 80E of India’s Income-tax Act applies to loan interest.
  • Compare standard UG tuition of AED 63,614 (INR 16.54 Lakhs) with the AED 75,191 (INR 19.55 Lakhs) band.
  • Pay annual tuition in full only when the 3% discount exceeds financing and forex costs.

The fee-band check matters most for UG applicants choosing between business and computing routes. Scholarship eligibility can change the net difference.

Tip for Indian Students: A 40% International Student Scholarship can reduce standard PG tuition. The maximum saving is AED 37,485.20 (INR 9.75 Lakhs). Submit evidence for September 2026 or January 2027 before the target-intake deadline, which remains pending.

Is De Montfort University Dubai Worth the Cost for Indian Students

A one-year standard MSc costs AED 93,713 (INR 24.37 Lakhs) before living costs. Its value depends on the target role and housing control.

The concrete return is a one-year UK postgraduate degree delivered in Dubai. DMU Dubai also guarantees on-campus accommodation for first-year students.

No official graduate salary, employment rate, or ranking figure is supplied in the current facts. A responsible payback period cannot be stated without those figures.

An INR 25.00 Lakhs loan implies an EMI near INR 33,500 monthly at 10.5% for 10 years. Compare that EMI with a written salary offer before borrowing.

Key Insight: For September 2026 or January 2027, net MSc tuition of INR 16.54 Lakhs improves the decision. Living costs remain separate. Without the award and discount, use INR 24.37 Lakhs as the tuition benchmark.

Next step: Compare the target programme, scholarship terms, and payment schedule with DMU Dubai admissions guidance.

September 2026 remains open on a rolling basis. January 2027 is the safer intake for a new visa-dependent applicant. For MSc Artificial Intelligence, budget at least INR 24.50 Lakhs for tuition and application processing. This excludes living, visa, and housing charges. A 30% award plus a 3% full-payment discount could reduce that known outlay to INR 16.68 Lakhs. Keep the 25% payment ready before university visa sponsorship begins.

Course Curriculum

  • For me, it is not that difficult but for those who don't have background in computers (MySQL), they are facing a lot of issues. Our class consists of theoretical as well as practical. Half our class is on theories and the other half on particle practice. At that time, we are facing any issue or not able to do it.
  • Positive: The professors here are good, as mentioned, better than in the UK.
  • Negative: The career team there is not that good at helping students find a job. But there is a career fair in our university where many companies will come and collect resumes, but I am not sure with that how many people will get placed as this will happen in the month of April.

  • Well the course curriculum is not that difficult and it is more practical than theoretical. We have 3-day classes in which one day is lecture and the other 2 days we have seminars in which we have group activities, case studies, presentations, role plays, etc., and since we have only assignments, the role of theory is reduced, and our assignments are also really practical. For example, in my first assignment in marketing, I launched a new Coca-Cola product for the UAE market and it’s a really easy-going course as you don’t have to study 4-5 subjects at a time
  • Our course is designed in such a manner that, for example, you have marketing as a subject so you study marketing for 6 weeks, pass that subject and then move on to the next subject so it helps in gaining a deeper understanding of a particular discipline rather than dumping 4-5 different subjects on a student at one time.
  • A few negative things would be that since you don’t have exams, you may not concentrate that much in your studies as there is no fear of examination like we have in India so you may become complacent and not utilise your time. Again, this depends on each and every student and how they choose to use their time and the strictness is quite less in comparison to Indian universities so students are independent and there is no micromanagement.

Fees

  • Fees keep changing each year; for me, it's around 59000 AED (around 14 lakhs) for the whole course. You can either pay it fully in one go, then you may get an additional 5 percent of paying in one go. I paid the fees in 4 installments of around 15000 AED, plus you have to pay for insurance and visa deposits. The visa deposit is around 5k AED, which is refundable. So overall, the payment structure is not that complicated. In the case of hostels, it's up to your own choice.

  • Monthly expenses would be around 30-35k per month if you really are economical.
