Cranfield University fees for Indian students in the United Kingdom (UK) depend on the postgraduate (PG) route and intake. PG tuition ranges from £29,025 (INR (Indian rupee) 37.38 Lakhs) to £49,500 (INR 63.74 Lakhs). Cranfield offers no undergraduate (UG) courses; Finance Master of Science (MSc) tuition is £29,650 (INR 38.18 Lakhs) for 2026/27.

Cranfield’s published living budget is £1,209 (INR 1.56 Lakhs) to £2,285 (INR 2.94 Lakhs) monthly. University housing includes utilities and Wi-Fi, while private leases need separate bill and transport checks. Private housing has no comparable university rent range, so treat Cranfield and Milton Keynes as commute options.

Finance MSc tuition plus 12 months of living costs is £44,158 (INR 56.86 Lakhs) to £57,070 (INR 73.49 Lakhs). It excludes visa charges. The estimate uses Cranfield’s published living range. Next year’s fee is unpublished, so recalculate after the next official schedule. Exchange rate: 1 GBP (British pound sterling) = INR 128.77, supplied 14 August 2026 by open.er-api.com.

  • Most taught MSc deposits are £3,000 (INR 3.86 Lakhs) and offset tuition.
  • The Full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) deposit is £5,000 (INR 6.44 Lakhs).
  • Finance MSc is the only currently published January 2027 Cranfield intake.

  • Tuition uses the current Finance MSc overseas fee for the full one-year course.
  • Living uses Cranfield’s lower, midpoint, and upper monthly budget figures.
  • The £3,000 (INR 3.86 Lakhs) deposit is part of tuition, so it is not added twice.
  • The IHS (Immigration Health Surcharge) appears as a one-year comparison.
  • Actual IHS is paid upfront for the full Student Visa period shown on the Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies document.

The worked example is Finance MSc: £50,614 (INR 65.18 Lakhs) for tuition and average living costs. This uses unchanged current rates.

A 50 Lakh loan at 10.5% over ten years creates roughly INR 65,000 to INR 70,000 monthly equated instalment (EMI).

Key Insight: The January 2027 Finance MSc scholarship can reduce the average budget by £10,000 (INR 12.88 Lakhs).

Submit before 1 October 2026, then protect the saving before the next tuition payment.

Cranfield University Tuition Deposit and Payment Options

£3,000 (INR 3.86 Lakhs) is the standard deposit for most taught MSc courses. The MBA requires £5,000 (INR 6.44 Lakhs).

Finance MSc, Business Data Analytics MSc, and Robotics MSc use the £3,000 (INR 3.86 Lakhs) deposit band.

The Full-time MBA requires £5,000 (INR 6.44 Lakhs), payable within 30 days after the offer.

The deposit is normally non-refundable, but Cranfield allows statutory refunds within 14 calendar days.

A Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) is the number needed for the Student Visa.

Cranfield requires the deposit or accepted sponsorship evidence before issuing the CAS.

Methods of Payment: Cranfield University

  • Bank transfer or telegraphic transfer can be sent directly to Cranfield’s account.
  • Flywire and EasyTransfer are Cranfield’s named international payment providers.
  • A forex card or provider transfer can reduce a 2% to 3% conversion spread versus a raw wire.
  • Education-loan disbursement should arrive before the offer-letter or registration deadline.

Steps to Pay Tuition: International Students

  1. Accept the offer through Cranfield’s applicant portal.
  2. Pay the course deposit by the offer-letter deadline.
  3. Complete CAS steps after the deposit is recorded.
  4. Pay the remaining balance on the registration schedule.
  5. Keep every payment receipt with the visa documents.

Full-time taught tuition is due on or before registration, and Cranfield recommends paying five working days early.

No current full-payment discount is published for Finance MSc.

Check the Cranfield University admission timeline before arranging payment.

Note: The January 2027 Finance MSc application deadline is 26 October 2026.

Arrange bank transfers at least five working days before registration to protect CAS timing.

Hidden Costs of Studying at Cranfield University

  • 26 October 2026 is the Finance MSc deadline, so visa funds must be ready before the deposit.
  • The Student Visa fee is £558 (INR 71,854) for an application from outside the UK.
  • The IHS is £776 (INR 99,926) per student year and is paid during the visa application.
  • A 12-month course normally receives one month before and four months after the course.
  • That visa period creates an 18-month IHS budget of £1,164 (INR 1.50 Lakhs).
  • Accommodation deposits range from £500 (INR 64,385) to £900 (INR 1.16 Lakhs).
  • English-test retakes, tuberculosis tests, translations, and bank charges remain variable.

Cash Needed Before Arrival: Finance MSc

INR 6.72 Lakhs is the minimum cash estimate before arrival for Finance MSc.

It combines the £3,000 (INR 3.86 Lakhs) deposit, £558 (INR 71,854) Student Visa fee, and £1,164 (INR 1.50 Lakhs) IHS.

It also includes a £500 (INR 64,385) housing deposit.

The tuition deposit reduces the balance due, so it is not counted twice.

Budget approximately INR 6.72 to INR 9.81 Lakhs for first-year hidden costs.

The upper estimate uses the MBA deposit and the largest published single-room housing deposit.

Note: The forgotten charge is the IHS, about £1,164 (INR 1.50 Lakhs) for an 18-month visa period.

It falls due with the visa application, not after arrival in the UK.

Fee Saving Strategies for Indian Students

INR 12.88 Lakhs is the largest documented tuition saving for the January 2027 Finance MSc cycle.

  • Choose on-campus housing when utilities and Wi-Fi simplify the first-year budget.
  • Full-time degree students may work up to 20 hours weekly during term time under Student Visa rules.
  • Section 80E of the Income Tax Act, 1961 may allow an interest deduction on eligible education loans.
  • Compare fee bands before choosing: £29,025 (INR 37.38 Lakhs) is £625 (INR 80,481) below £29,650 (INR 38.18 Lakhs).
  • The Graduate Route visa lasts 18 months for applications made on or after 1 January 2027.

Part-time work should supplement funding, not replace the visa evidence or tuition plan.

Section 80E eligibility depends on the borrower, lender, loan purpose, and current Indian tax rules.

Tip for Indian Students: The £10,000 (INR 12.88 Lakhs) Cranfield award is the highest-value current lever.

Submit the scholarship application by 1 October 2026 before arranging the next tuition instalment.

Is Cranfield University Worth the Cost for Indian Students

INR 65.18 Lakhs before immigration charges buys a Finance MSc. Cranfield reports 92% of graduates in work or further study.

The 92% outcome covers professional employment or further study 15 months after completion.

Finance MSc ranks 11th in the UK and 70th worldwide in the 2026 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Masters in Finance ranking.

Finance MSc ranks 6th in the UK and within the global top 50 in Financial Times’ 2026 ranking.

Cranfield’s MBA page reports an average post-MBA salary of USD (United States dollar) 124,086 (INR 1.18 Crore) within three years.

That MBA figure is not a Finance MSc salary, so it should not set a Finance repayment forecast.

A loan of INR 50 Lakhs at 10.5% over ten years creates roughly INR 65,000 to INR 70,000 monthly EMI.

The MBA salary figure equals about INR 9.87 Lakhs monthly before tax, so the EMI is a small gross-income share.

The 18-month Graduate Route for applications from 1 January 2027 gives less repayment time than earlier rules.

Cranfield is financially defensible when the chosen course, scholarship, and target role support the repayment plan.

Key Insight: January 2027 Finance MSc becomes stronger financially when the £10,000 (INR 12.88 Lakhs) award is secured.

The next intake has no published 2027/28 fee, so do not carry this total forward unchanged.

January 2027 Finance MSc is the only currently published workable Cranfield intake for a Student Visa applicant.

Its average first-year budget is INR 66.89 Lakhs, including the one-year visa and IHS comparison.

The £10,000 (INR 12.88 Lakhs) scholarship can reduce that budget before registration.

The next Cranfield campus intake has no 2027/28 fee published, so rerun the budget when released.

Submit the scholarship by 1 October 2026 and the Finance MSc application by 26 October 2026.

  • The course is up-to-date and in line with the current technology.
  • A lot of guest lectures with people from different companies, as well as professors themselves, have a great deal of knowledge, with questions encouraged in and out of classes.
  • A module usually took 2 weeks to complete, with an assignment or an exam after that.
  • Around 20-25 students per cohort.

Fees

  • £21500 when I did the course in 2021

  • I completed a research degree, so my course did not have a set curriculum, but it was hectic as all of my work was practical and in the lab.
  • The positive aspect is that you are to what you want at your own pace, because it is your project and you are working on it individually. The negative aspect is also the same; as you are working alone, you will feel lonely if you do not socialize properly.

Fees

  • My fees were inclusive of all tuition fees only. I did a master's by research course, which made my fees around 22,000 GBP and around 8,000 GBP for living expenses, inclusive of rent for accommodation. An estimate of my monthly expenses would be 700-750 GBP per month.
  • The fees are charged yearly at the beginning of the year. Transportation is not that expensive if you use public transport like trains and buses.

Course Curriculum

  • The curriculum is very demanding but manageable, with a good mix of theory and practical work.
  • Positives include applied learning and diversity; the main challenge is workload intensity. Typically, 4-5 classes run daily between 8 am and 6 pm.
  • Class size is 40-60 students(41 this year from 17 countries overall), with around 20–25 Indian students, which is the majority

Fees

  • The full tuition fee is supposed to be paid before reaching the campus. (£44000)
  • Hotel fee can be paid Monthly, quarterly, or altogether (this depends on which hostel you take up, and the cost varies yearly, considering various factors). Mine cost £1244.50 per month and £700 security deposit
  • Monthly £300-£400 should be enough to take care of everything, but this exceeds depending on various external factors.

Course Curriculum

  • The course is very difficult; it’s practical almost every day since we use our computers and work on them while in class (it’s a part of it). So there’s a heavy mix of both theory and practical.
  • The course is well structured and specialised, what I don’t like is that things are no longer spoon-fed to you, resources are provided, and you’re expected to build your knowledge from them and do your self study. We have one module week, and one study week (no classes), it’s a sandwich structure.
  • During module weeks, the classes usually go from 9:30-1 and 2-4. There are 28 students in my class. There are 4-5 Indians enrolled in the course, and the course is very diverse ethnically.

Fees

  • My tuition fee is 27910 pounds, and my living costs me 190 pounds per week. There are no other charges. The tuition is a single payment at the start of the course, whereas with the accommodation, we get to choose if we want to pay monthly, quarterly, or once every 6/9 months.
  • My general monthly expenses come up to around 200 pounds, but if I’m being more liberal with spending, then 300-400.

  • Curriculum is updated, every year mostly.
  • I had the industrial Exposure, during my thesis period, I had an industrial supervisor.
  • Classes were continuous; it was 1 week monday to friday 8:30 to 5:00 for week and then one week off. In my class there were approximately 20 students who were there.

Fees

  • It was 27000 pounds during sep 2023.

  • Difficulty level of my course curriculum: The course was intense with a mix of both theoretical and practical application. Each module delves into important aspects of the subject
  • Positive aspects of my course: Course structure, Assignments given which helped in diving deeper into what was taught
  • Negative aspects of my course: Feels a bit fast-paced initially
  • In a day, there are usually 2 or 3 classes scheduled
  • Usual timings: 09:30 - 11:30 | 12:00 - 13:30 | 14:30 - 16:00 (most commonly 09:30 and 14:30 classes are scheduled)
  • Average number of students: 40
  • Indian Students: 10

Fees

  • Tuition: £28000
  • Accommodation: ranging from £450 to £1000 (based on the type of accommodation preferences)
  • The fee payment is charged yearly
  • Monthly expenses: £710 - 750
  • Rent: £550 (my rent) - off-campus; however, on campus ranges about the same (for a decent room size with all the amenities) - all bills are generally included.
  • Groceries: £120-160
  • Travel: £39 (monthly pass with unlimited travel from Bedford - Cranfield - Milton Keynes)
