- The university has a great reputation and the city of Bristol itself is absolutely brilliant.
- The architecture is beautiful throughout the campus and the city, and the faculty is genuinely good.
- There is a strong academic culture and the Russell Group status really does show in the quality of teaching and resources.

- Accommodation is quite expensive and the general cost of living around the university area feels inflated.
- You really need to budget carefully, especially if you are living off campus.
Course Curriculum
- The course curriculum is quite up to date and relevant. The syllabus feels current and well aligned with what is actually happening in the management and business world. Lectures are large-format with around 300 students, but they are followed up with smaller seminars of around 15 students, where the real engagement occurs.
- That ratio works well because you still get that personal interaction and can ask questions properly. In terms of industrial exposure, the course does a solid job of connecting theory with real-world context.

- The total tuition fee for the MSc Management programme is 33,000 GBP for the full programme. It is worth planning your finances carefully in advance, as this is a significant investment.

- What I really liked about the MSc at the University of Bristol was its focus on 'Data Engineering' and practical application, not just abstract theory. Specifically, modules like 'Large-Scale Data Engineering' were a highlight for me. They didn't just teach us how to build a model in a notebook; they taught us how to deploy pipelines and handle data at scale—skills I immediately applied at Jaguar Land Rover to optimize ETL workflows. I also loved the Data Science Mini-Project, where we worked with external clients. It gave me early exposure to the reality of messy, real-world data and stakeholder management, which bridged the gap between academia and industry.
Dislikes
- If I had to pick a dislike, it would be that the program was extremely condensed. Because it covers everything from 'Introduction to AI' to complex 'Visual Analytics' in just one year, we often had to move very quickly through deep mathematical concepts. At times, I wished we had more time to linger on specific topics like Bayesian optimization or advanced time-series analysis within the lecture hours. However, this actually pushed me to be a self-starter; I ended up researching those specific topics deeply for my dissertation on stock trend prediction, so it ultimately refined my research skills.

- Research Experience: For my Master's dissertation, I conducted research on predicting stock trends of dependent companies using change point detection on Yahoo Finance data.
- Industrial Application: I completed a "Mini Project" forecasting HSBC stock movements using Random Forest and Deep Learning models. Additionally, during my diploma, I worked on a project involving web scraping and sentiment analysis for a property website, achieving over 90% classification accuracy.
- Capstone Projects: My undergraduate thesis involved developing a secure, blockchain-based voting system integrated with a Node.js frontend and MongoDB database.

- The course was updated, and I had exposure to academic research and industry. class was good and was about 2 to 3 a day with student varying with the subject, which can be from 6 or 7 to 50.

- Just to clarify, my course was jointly taught by 2 universities, UoB and UWE. and is managed by UoB. each of these universities have their own pros and cons.
- Both of these university had good infra, campus, and all the required facilities.

- Yet both of them lag in teaching. I will say the learning I got from these two is 2/10.

- I like the part where the university take good care of its student and how diverse Is the university which could to meet people and make friends across the world. It offers good life around it many clubs, unions and events.
Dislikes
- I didn’t like the part where university provides its masters courses only just for one year and how complicated it can be to understand its career service centre, and its short staff for career services for around 30000 students they literally around 20-30 people that’s it which is bad actually.

- Course is timeless and relevant for my entrepreneurship career. It was very practical rather than theoretical or academical; it’s a course where you learn by doing, not by reading
- Yes, I have been the knowledge about entrepreneurship, and I learned great amount of research skills
- You have hardly 4 to 6 classes in a week; the rest of the time you have for yourself, you can either work for the course or do things you like. But it is effective to use this time for work on course module

- I like how challenging and demanding a course can be. This challenging and demanding part helps students who are part of this course to grow, learn and develop skills for life. The modules in this course are designed in such a way to help you learn and challenge the way you think about business and society. I personally didn’t like the part where the course is only for one year, even though there is lifelong learning of entrepreneurship, and this course is just an introduction and solid foundation to entrepreneurship.
- Also, I wouldn’t say the course is totally academical yet it is academical which makes it miss a very crucial part of entrepreneurship, which is developing an entrepreneurial (in full) and disruptive mindset (doesn’t give importance at all).
- In conclusion, It was great learning experience yet it was challenging and intense.

- Latest curriculum: when compared to my college in undergraduate the curriculum over here seems it gets revised a lot frequently
- State of the art facilities and labs: we have a lot of latest equipment in the lab
- Diverse international student community: There are people from all around the world

- Limited practical industry exposure compared to the academic focus: Compared to other courses which have capstone project done with industry we dont have that exposure
- Availability of specialized electives in emerging areas: there are no electives in this course at least for me so choose your program wisely
- Limited flexibility in tailoring modules to individual career goals: you expect this as you are paying so much and everyone says that foreign academics are the best
Course Curriculum
- In my opinion the course curriculum is not that difficult but depends on the person. It's a mix of both theoretical and practical.
- The positive thing is that the course curriculum is very frequently updated so they teach you the latest things that are happening in the industry. the negative is that since the course is only one year, you don't get enough time to build rapport with your teachers.
- There are on average around 3 classes scheduled each day and it usually starts at 11 in the morning. sometimes you have a break in between or lab sessions so the end time depends on that.
- For my class the average number of students is 60. but some classes we have students from other courses as well so sometimes there might be around 100 students in the lecture hall. In my course there were only 2 Indian students

- So the tuition fee was 34200 pounds for a one-year course. you can pay that in one payment or you can pay it in two instalments of 16200 pounds each.
- for the accommodation i used the university-collaborated accommodation. there are multiple places that you can stay at. for me my rent was around 10000 pounds for one year, which can be paid in one payment or in 3 instalments. You can find the information on all this on the university website; they have mentioned it quite clearly.
- So monthly expenses would be around 400 to 600 pounds depending on the type of person you are. This is excluding rent. If you rent a room privately, it may cost you around 800 pounds per month (That depends on the location of your home).

- It does not have a campus, it's spread throughout the city.

- The syllabus is relevant with current industry standards.
- Usage of latest tech in the syllabus was a plus point.
- Typically each day has 2 classes, either in the morning or in the evening. These classes are 2 hours long.
- The students in my classroom for my course were close to 120.

- Could have better university accommodation especially for postgrad students
- Could have better harmonized University events rather than scattered events.
- Academic timelines can be adjusted but guess its same across all Unis in the UK so fair.
- People in industry-related courses find it easier to get jobs and it is a major advantage if you have related work experience.
- However, it could be quite difficult depending on the job market these days. You could go without a full-time job for months and even those with full-time jobs are usually in start-ups. It depends on the job market and the above comments are in relation to the year 2024-25.

- I like that my course at the University of Bristol, had learned professors who had a lot of expertise in their subject and also an experience on how to teach the subject. They always linked theoretical knowledge with practical examples which helped to understand how is the theoretical knowledge linked with the practical implementations in real life.
- There were sufficient assignments given to us, along with synchronous and asynchronous classes and materials to gain more knowledge in all aspects.
- We were also provided with the names of books that were easily found in the library and e-books were also available for free from the library which helped a lot to get comprehensive details on the subject we were studying.
Dislikes
- There were language barriers sometimes where the professors were not able to be comprehensive about what they wanted to teach.
- What I didn't like was mostly that it was quite expensive. Even printouts were not free and took some amount and I being a person who wants hard copies of stuff, was facing some difficulties.
- There were not many practical sessions to get better practical exposure.
Course Curriculum
The course and curriculum were very well-built. The separation of subjects in the first and the second term was carefully selected. The first term included the basics of the subject which helped a lot in the second term as well and also helped as a refresher on the topic we have selected for the thesis. This gave us some idea of how to write the thesis and what to include. It was also accompanied by a feedback from the professors. We were also given classes on the skills required for research and in the end we had to give a research review report of 10000 words. For the thesis, there were some options for research experience as a part of the industry, but there were not many in my opinion though, I was lucky to get the industrial exposure where I got the chance to do my thesis with a company for 3 months. But only 4 people were selected out of 150 people which means that a lot of competition is there in this area.

- It has a very reputable image and part of prestigious community plus it is a top 9th University in Bristol.
Dislikes
- One aspect of my college/university experience that I find particularly challenging is the lack of flexibility in the curriculum. Many of the courses are structured in a rigid manner, leaving little room for exploration or customization based on individual interests or career goals. This limited flexibility can be frustrating, especially for students who seek to delve deeper into specific subjects or pursue interdisciplinary studies. Additionally, the scheduling of classes and availability of elective courses often pose constraints, making it difficult to create a well-rounded educational experience. Furthermore, the bureaucratic processes within the institution can sometimes hinder efficient communication and problem-solving, leading to delays and inefficiencies in academic matters. Overall, while I appreciate the resources and opportunities provided by my college/university, I believe that greater flexibility and adaptability in the curriculum and administrative processes would greatly enhance the learning experience for students.
