GMIT L.L.B : Fees 2026, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Ans. The total fee for LLB at GM University, Davanagere, is INR 3,37,500 for the three-year programme, payable at INR 1,12,500 per year in two instalments. Hostel charges and examination fees are payable separately and not included in this figure.

Ans. Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university. A minimum of 45 percent aggregate marks (40 percent for SC/ST candidates) in the qualifying degree is required. Age limit norms of the Bar Council of India apply.

Ans. Candidates may apply through the KLEE (Karnataka Law Entrance Examination) conducted by Karnataka Examinations Authority, or apply directly at gmu.ac.in for merit-based admission. KLEE qualified candidates register on the KEA portal and participate in the law seat allotment counselling process. After allotment or provisional admission, original documents including graduation certificates, transfer certificate, and identity proof are verified at the university campus. Ans. Graduates of LLB from GM University can enrol with the Bar Council of India and practise as advocates in district courts, High Courts, or the Supreme Court. Other career paths include legal advisor to corporations and banks, judicial services examinations (entry to lower judiciary), company secretary (with ICSI qualifications), compliance officer, legal research associate in law firms, and legal officer roles in PSUs and government. Karnataka has active district courts, a busy High Court, and growing demand for legal professionals in Bengaluru’s corporate sector. Graduates may also pursue LLM for specialisation in corporate, criminal, or constitutional law, or MBA (legal management) for combined business-law roles.

Ans. KLEE is not mandatory. GM University offers direct merit-based admission through its own application portal at gmu.ac.in. However, appearing for KLEE improves seat allotment prospects and is recommended for Karnataka state students seeking entry to law programmes across universities.
