Ques. Is GNM from HRIT University approved by INC?
Ans. Yes, the GNM programme at HRIT University is approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC), which is the national regulatory body for nursing education in India. INC approval ensures that the GNM diploma is recognised for employment in government hospitals, defence, and railway health services. HRIT University holds NAAC A+ accreditation as an additional quality credential.
Ques. What is the total fee for GNM at HRIT University?
Ans. The total 3-year fee for GNM at HRIT University is INR 3,00,750, paid as INR 1,00,250 per year. Hostel charges are separate and optional. Fee payment is made annually at the start of each academic year. A detailed breakup of tuition, exam, and other annual charges is available from the HRIT admissions office at the time of joining for the 2026-27 batch.
Ques. What subjects are taught in the GNM programme at HRIT?
Ans. The GNM curriculum covers anatomy, physiology, microbiology, nutrition, nursing foundations, medical-surgical nursing, community health nursing, midwifery and obstetrics, child health nursing, and mental health nursing. Clinical postings at affiliated hospitals are included in all three years for hands-on patient care training. The programme prepares graduates to work independently as general duty nurses in hospital and community settings.

Students need to apply online at hrituniversity.edu.in between July 1 and September 10, 2026, along with Class 12 mark sheets, medical fitness certificate, and character certificate. An institutional-level interview may be conducted as part of the selection process.
Ques. Can GNM graduates from HRIT pursue B.Sc Nursing later?
Ans. Yes. GNM graduates with at least one year of work experience after registration with the State Nursing Council are eligible for Post Basic B.Sc Nursing, a 2-year bridge programme offered by many INC-approved institutions. This allows GNM graduates to upgrade to a full nursing degree. HRIT University offers B.Sc Nursing separately for students who wish to pursue the regular 4-year degree route instead.
